I've been thinking about getting my girlfriend a promise ring for her birthday in August. The thing is she doesn't wear rings. She's told me before that she doesn't like to because, silly her, she moves her hands around a lot and has had them come off and lost them before. So the thing is, if I got her a promise ring I'm not sure if she would wear it. Do you think getting it fitted just right would make her feel more comfortable wearing it? Or is there an alternative...maybe a diamond necklace or a bracelet? What's a good style in either of these?
Thanks to everyone for there help in advance!

ok, well i'm kind of leaning towards the idea of getting a chain for it too. Where is a good place to find a nice inexpensive gold chain (under $100)?

You can still get her the promise ring just have her wear it around her neck with a chain.

I never understood the purpose of a promise ring? why promise just do it. I was give one of those and felt like a fool when people asked me if i was engaged, " no i am promised" anyway i would have rather had the necklace or bracelet.
PS: when a ring is the right size, it will not come off

The year we were dating, my husband bought me a chain with a key charm on it. He included a note that said "now you really have the key to my heart!" You could also get her a chain for the promise ring.

Put the ring on an attractive chain that she can wear around her neck. She can keep it in her jewlery box on days that activities include swimming, or something like skydiving.
Good luck.

do you really want to give her a thing that she can wear???i guess it would be better if you can give her something huggable so that she could always remember you especially before she go to sleep.for me, if my boyfriend will going to give me a huggable stuff it seems as if i can always feel his presence and especially if my bf has also sprayed his favorite scent on that stuff before he gave it to me...i hope this would help =)

Do you really mean the promise that you are making? THAT is the REAL question.
