well, you're sure right about it being tough...

if you were going for it not having the letters t or h, you messed up by putting "the" in front of quick.

other than that, the only thing you changed is the tense (he is in the act of jumping, rather than having already done it) and there is no longer a specific dog in mind.

If you were trying to get people to answer this, every letter in the alphabet is in this sentence. the way I've heard it, though, goes "the quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog". same effect, shorter sentence.

Not really sure what you are asking. The statement you typed was often used to help students learn the keyboard because that sentence uses each letter of the alphabet but it is actually.. The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.
