The Bible does not say that people seem to but the Bible does not say that if women have sex before marriage it is wrong no it says that all unmarried person that means both men and women not one or the other but both 1Corinthians6:13 says that the body is not for fornication both men and women have bodies do they not, then, both are committing fornication or unmarried sex if you will. There are alot that may think l;ike you say but that is the way they think but that is not how God sees it we are equal in Gods eyes we just have different roles God is not partial(Acts10:34)

It's always easier to blame the girl. Victimization makes them feel so much better about themselves. That's simply escapism.
I have a few friends who were sexually harassed in school and office. When they reported it to the authorities, all the males in their school and workplaces shunned them. It was as if they were suddenly declared "forbidden".
Some men simply do not understand that just because a woman doesn't say so, it doesn't mean that they can take liberties with the woman's consent. Then again, if the woman is stupid or trusting enough to let herself be taken advantage of, then obviously she has to learn some place, some time.
I'm not saying it's right to be take advantage of a woman's trust. I'm saying that women should learn to be less trusting, and at least 50% more wary of the people around them.

I don't have an answer that will satisfy you from the point of view you want, in the Western world it was because Eve indugled in the original sin and induced Adam to go along with it.
In a segue, 80% of the world claims to be religious, yet the "average" man has had over 12 partners and the "average" girl has had close to 10 partners and all forms of religion, except Pagaism and Satanism forbid sex outside of marriage.
Also venerial disease and AIDS is prevelent, sometimes to epidemic levels, in all nations of the world, including Muslim nations. They need to explain that one. All religions need to explain that one. It's also prevelent in Italy and South America which are Cathoic areas.
The obvious answer is men will be men and women will be women, even if it goes against one's religion.
Anyone who preceives a looseness in Western Women better take a look at the statistics of their own nation and you will see Prostitution, abortion, out of wedlock babies, STD, Rape and active homosexuality far exceeds the number of people who claim "no religion" -- so how are all those religoius people facing these ills?

The first religion known to man was shamanism which worshiped a female and male aspect of god. The belief was that there is one god but that one god had both amale and fmale aspect.the mother and the father.equals. When christianity started and most other male based religions were started they pretty much copied everything but then put the female into the new sin department (whore of babalon) With shamanism there wasn't any such thing as sin is was more thought out like karma.Do something bad and you get bad in return. God became completely human and completely male with the arrival of monotheistic thinking with it's rigid and inflexible form was the mark of advancing civilization. With the arrival of the Father Gods came the degradation of the earth, woman, the body, sex and the most natural tasks in which earlier people found joy and happiness. woman became subservient to her husband who legally owned her life, she was merely property. Men emerged socially, economically and politically dominate and eventually patriarchal institutions, laws and values reflected the myth of male superiority.Patriarchy (from Greek: patria meaning father and arché meaning rule) is the anthropological term used to define the sociological condition where male members of a society tend to predominate in positions of power; with the more powerful the position, the more likely it is that a male will hold that position. The term patriarchy is also used in systems of ranking male leadership in certain hierarchical churches or religious bodies .

You're talking about cultures where men have no responsibility for where their penis goes. Like it has a mind of it's own. Also, if they can keep women down and guilty of everything that THEY do then they keep the power.
Western women ( like me) have choices in dress and manner. We are educated. We have lives of our own and that's a threat to the power. We can have it all. In cultures were only men have power....well, we might take it all away. If you have to compete for the power then you have to work for it. If you don't have to compete, you just have power because you were born male then no work is required. I think it stems from plan old laziness.

Easy. They have a male dominant society ruled by religion. In that, the man can never be wrong. It's just like in high school. If a girl sleeps around she's a sl*t. If a guy sleeps around, he's a stud.

It's just not this way in religion, it's every day life. In our younger generation if a young lady had premarital sex, she is considered, to be whore. But the same young men that have aided her in getting this reputation experience no retaliation from society. It's always been that way, as unfair as it is!!
