Better tea than soda pop. All that sodium in cola is bad for the kidneys. People all over the world drink tea. Maybe introduce her to green tea. Some people believe that something in green tea helps prevent cancer. Who knows? I really don't think it's such a bad thing to be addicted to.

Addiction to tea may be a good thing afterall. Tea is one of the most ancient and healthy beverages. Of course, if she drinks natural teas, not artificial blends with with food coloring. Both green and black tea have plenty of antioxidants and energizing substances; if you are worried about her caffeine intake, offer her decafeinated teas before bed time.
My family where I grew up drinks a lot of tea, and I had tea everyday several times a day instead of soda. No harm was done to my health, trust me. Also, look at asian kids (for instance, japanese) - they drink so much tea - even instead of bottled water they drink bottled green tea. They are just fine and even boast extreme longevity.

Allow her her favorite but only two glasses a day & let her choose when to use them but once she does that is it. Tea is a great drink, I love it myself but it literally saps the iron from women. A child shouldn't be sapped of any vitamin, may be you should give her a multivitamin until she get a,lttle less tea-happy!

Don't have it in the house. Does she have a personality that will just start a new addiction? If so, then you may need to address that while she's still young.

Switch to decaffeinated tea. Serve decaffeinated iced tea in the summer. It is virtually harmless.

Simply tell her that you are in charge, and that you've decided she is not to drink tea without your approval. You have to follow through and make tea unavailable.
