Jesus didn't baptize with water. What does that prove?

What did Jesus say?
Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
His disciples (then and now) can't baptize with the Holy Spirit (as happened only in Acts 2:2-4), but they could (and do) baptize in water as commanded:

For the remission of sins (Acts 2:38)
To wash away sins (Acts 22:16)
To save (1 Peter 3:21)

Today there is only one baptism in effect (Ephesians 4:5): the baptism of the great commission, baptism in water for the remission of sins.

Jesus was baptized on the Jordan river by John the Baptist
He told his Apostles to go out to the world, preach the Gospel and the ones who wanted to get baptized: Baptized them (with water) "In the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit."

John the Baptist tried to stop Jesus from getting baptized because it was symbolic and a sign of sin being washed away. Probly was an Essenes practice of purification. Essenes were the folks that the Dead Sea scrolls were about. Jesus hadn't sinned he was not a sinner he was the one John the Baptist spoke about in earlier text I come to wash but one greater will come to baptize you with the Spirit I am not worthy to hold his sandels" . Jesus insisted because he identfied with us and took on our sins did not seperate himself from us. It was what was commanded for him to do by his Father, Afterwards in that same scripture it says the sky opened up and a voice was heard "This is my son whom I'm well pleased with' and a dove decended and Jesus became filled with the Spirit. I imagine you know the story the same Holy Spirit that decended that day fills many hearts to this day as well as the tradition of Baptism to wash the sin and be marked with/ for the Holy Spirit (it's a combination) in Christian belief. For the record if you don't want to you don't have to believe nor get baptized in any form of Christianity or whatever spiritualities you feel are brain washing you. Keep your own brain as clean or filthy as you like that's you. I'm sure there are other paths or not for you. Peace

Read all the accounts in the 4th gospel. He did baptize. However, it was similar to the baptism of repentence which was done by John the baptist. The reference to the baptism of the Holy Spirit and fire is intended to show that there is a difference between the baptism of repentence and what was to follow later.

The baptism for the church has always been the entry into the death and resurrection of Christ. Water has always been used for this ritual. In the early centuries it was given only after months of teaching and preparation at the Easter vigil.

You use Holy Water. It's what is used to throw on vampires to make them scream and burn. I guess the Holy Spirit is what is in Holy Water, like 200 proof.

You should be able to pick up a bottle at Wal-Mart.
