I am a daughter at the moment and i am a 15, i have asked my mom about my dad but she went in a huff about it and said she doesn't want me to see him and said she isn't going to let me. My mom thought i wanted to live with him though but that isn't the case, i only want to speak to him or see him as i haven't seen him since i was born and dont even know anything about him. Some of my friends have recently met up with their dads and are getting on really well. I think daughter's normally go find their Dad when they are ready and allowed to because you feel more secure and more family to turn to with a father there.

i can so relate, for the past five years it seems i've been trying to get in contact with my father and it just doesn't happen, i've been going behind my mothers back, stole her car and everything to go see his parents, and still nothing, although i did find out that he is comming home this summer, but all i can say is that i did it when i was good and ready to accept the consequences and well it turned out kinda, so good luck

yes although you may be the greatest mother/father its only natural that the offspring will seek the other parent to complete their lives dont take it as a slight on the way way youve brought them up but dont try and turn you child away from who their parent is remember you seperated from the father your daughter didnt
