Understand this--we are going to meet the people again,we like it or not,say it destiny, say it life.
Be fair and impartial to urself and ur partner.
If u want to break the relationship--confront him, tell him that u want this relationship of romance to end but that u would be friends.Assure the person he is a good human being but that u are incompatible.
Breaking relationships over post or sms is very rude, childish and impolite.

I don't think I have ever done it those ways, but I think I had broke up over the phone, but normally I do it in person.
The key though, is to discuss your problems when they arise. No relationship is going to work out and last a life time if you don't talk about your problems when they first arise and hit them head on. Relationship is about team work, you have to be willing to give more than you take and work together.

Do you think they would take it seriously if you did? I don't.. be honest with them and honest with yourself.. if it isn't working out talk it through and express your feelings.. with spoken words not written hints.. you never know he might have the same issues with you and you can find common ground to continue the relationship with... from a new level of mutual understanding..
Post it notes are the easy way out.. you both deserve better, right?

Its not easy breaking up in person, it's the best thing to do but not easy... when I was younger I did it a couple of times online and thru email so if you feel comfortable with that, go for it.

Yes, if I met them via Post-It. Otherwise, the courtesy of breaking it off in person is good etiquette.

no, i wouldn't. it is much better to do it face to face for the other partner may have questions as to why and may have to be answered. but breaking up on a post it note, is selfish, immature and most of he/she doesnt have the guts to face you as a human being should. when a human being comes to you, face to face, it earns he/she respect in the future and you will have more repect for yourself also.

Very tacky - and cowardly. Even breaking up on the phone isn't very nice - but it beats a post-it.

At least have the decency to break-up with them face to face or on the phone.

post it? you serious? that is plain dumb. how about telling that person face to face. tell him straight to the eye that you dont love him anymore. give the guy some credit and a little respect.

not at all my friend. You gotta do it the right way, face to face, but then again depending how old you are, over the phone can be acceptable.
