The Jewish bible goes by many names, including "The Hebrew Scriptures," "The Hebrew Bible," and "The Old Testament" (a term employed by Christians, but not accepted by Jews).

Jews call it TANAKH, which is a Hebrew acronym for the three sections it contains: Torah (the Pentateuch or first five books of the Old Testament), Nevi'im (Prophets), and Ketuvim (Writings). The Tanakh contains the 39 books found in the Christian Bible and called the "Old Testament

The Jewish people have what Christians call the "Old Testament", the answer which says "Torah" is partially correct - the Torah being the first five books of the Old Testament. These five books were penned by Moses ( you know the one in the movie 'The ten Commandments'. However, their 'Bible" comprises more than that and the whole book is referred to as the "Tanach" or ssomething like that - I've only heard the word pronounced and never seen it written!

The Torah, consisting of the first five books of the Old Testament.

The Talmud, consisting of the rest of the books of the Old Testament.

The Mishnah, consisting of the laws, insights and meditations of Jewish holy men and NOT being a part of the Old Testament.

Tohra. The first five Books of the Old Testament in the Bible. Jesus wanted his followers to read the New Testament along side the Old one to distinguish what Moses said and what was the reality.
