You should talk to your doctor, I had my gallbladder taken out and the doctor said that there are things that I won't be able to eat or drink because of it, along with it takes your body a while to adjust to not having something that has been a part of your body for so long.
I have had to adjust my diet and add things slowly.....depending on what you are trying to drink.

I'm going to assume that when you say you can't drink, you mean alcohol. I had the surgery almost 3 years ago. I can drink alcohol but I get drunk pretty quickly. If I drink it slow, I do better. If I do get drunk, I usually sober up 20 mintues after my drink.

Whatever you do....don't do a shot! I've done two and both ended up with me being so drunk I passed out within minutes. Not fun, not funny.
