Martin Luther, an Augustinian priest, decided that the Church was fatally flawed and only he knew how to fix it. When the papacy refused to do it his way, he nailed his 95 theses to the door and went to Rome to try again. They continued obdurate and instead of making him pope and leader they cast him out, excommunicating him. So he decided to start his own church.

Because the German princes were always at war with each other and the Church, it didn't take long for some of the more disaffected ones to line up and follow Luther. Of course, back then it was a case of follow the leader, no matter what, so their people became followers as well. This led to a lot of bloodshed.

But never forget, Luther STARTED as a Catholic priest. He actually had legitimate concerns about some of the church practices. What he didn't have was the patience to wait for GOD'S time to sort it out.

Luther obeyed his conscience, thinking he was obeying God. He apparently started by doing the best he could. It was the wrong thing to do, but by the time that became obvious, it was a bit late to change things. The secular princes had taken over by then. Luther ended his life an embittered and angry man. Even his best friend had deserted him. Sad.

So, If Martin Luther was really righteous, why did he call for the annihilation of the Jews after they did not concede to his preachings? Why did he justify the deliberate acts of commiting sin like commiting adultery, murder etc just as long as you have faith. Isn't it the true blind faith? When you accept Christ as your savior, you can never deny your accountability because if that is so, the law automatically lose its bearing. Is that what we call Godly?

God is not a lie. He is the truth that has change me from a vile person to who I am today. I am not saying that I am perfect but at least I have the chance to be safe and now understand how it is really to be human while on earth. How about those who never knew about it. But God is a just God, He will give everyone a fair chance in the jackpot which is heaven.

If you reckon he disobeyed the church then what about Jesus disobeying the Jewish church by leaving it? Change requires radical action and its not really a matter of good or bad. I'm not sure you're looking for an answer so much as a disussion though so why not find a chat forum or start up a blog so you can go into more depth and get a discussion going?

Peoples beliefs in God are sadistic and contradictory.
God is perceived from mans mind and a history which started when science hadn't proved the things we know now.
If certain people are doomed to hell regardless, then why was Jesus quoted as saying He loves us all, all our sins will be forgiven.
Also the ten commandments are contradictory too. If vanity is a sin then why did God say "Thou shall not have false gods"?
Honour thy mother and father. My father was a bastard. Why should I honour him?
If God was all loving then why did He have this evil streak?

Religion is a farse that was created to scare pre intelligent societies into behaving them selves with laws that were set to by man as a policing agent!

Psa 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Jer 4:22 For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.

Psa.37:20 But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.

IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT ?????

First what martin did or did not do has nothing to do with what you and I do before God, each is responsible for ourselves to Him to whom we must do, the better question is Jesus says "IF you love me keep my commandments" and God so Loved the world [put your name there in place of world] that He [The Father] gave His only begotton son that whosoever [that is you] might not perish but have everlasting life, everyone born on this planet dies and He is the Only Way out, what are YOU doing with the probation time He bought you, after all YOU are walking in your own grave now, living on borrowed time, what are YOU going to do with The Living Christ, now that is THE question don't you think. wgr88@yahoo.com God bless, free bible lessons www.itiswritten.com

According to the bible, and theology, all protestants are predestined for hell. meaninig they have no choice, no matter what they do, they will end up in hell.

they broke out of peters church in rome, and insulted gods representative on earth.

peters church was built on the rock to stand forever. anyone who breaks out is hades predestined.

thier rebellion was like unto that of lucifer and a third of the stars.

they decived millions for generations. the product of european renaissance politics. making religion a state issue rather than a spiritual issue, talking bribes, and establishing kings solely to manipulate the official religion of the empires.

since you seem to think you know the answer to the question you didn't even have the brains to properly ask - look in the mirror, ask yourself your questions, and leave the rest of us out of your distress.
Martin Luther and what he achieved is so above you.
