A friend of mine took her long-haired cat to the groomers to be shaved because her fur was so matted and she refused to be brushed. The groomers called her about an hour later, asking her to take the cat home, she was fighting too much, and they were unable to finish shaving her. My friend ended up taking her to a vet to be sedated so she could get shaved properly.

The vet shaved mine only because of matting fur. But my advice to you is try a different type of cat food. Poor nutrition in cat food is common. The good types of cat food with the proper nutrition are foods like IAMS, SCIENCE DIET, as well as PURINA. Good luck with your shedding cat.

My cat sheds plenty to, so i think your discomfort, yet i attempt to comb her popular and it particularly enables. I did have a cat shaved as quickly as, yet she become very ill and it become reported by potential of the vet. I wasn’t there mutually as she become being shaved (i become 12 years previous and in college), yet she become very under pressure afterwards and appeared embarrassed for weeks afterwards lol. stable success.

no - but a friend of mine just shaved his dog and now it is a nightmare because he can't take the dog out for a walk because he would get a terrible sunburn!
animals are born with fur - there is a reason for it!
and just because we don't like them loosing their hair, i don't think we have to mess with nature
