if it is mild depression, hypnotherapy can cure it other wise if it is major depression caused by certain chemical changes in the brain it is better to consult neuro psychiatrist.if the depression is caused by a single incident, you can overcome it within 15 days by diverting your mind to other activities which give pleasure to you and change of place temporarily. if it still causes trouble consult psychotherapist.

A person can not overcome depression without help. Therapy is a must and medications may also be needed.

By understanding you cant overcome it. You can only recognize and treat depression. For some it is a life long battle. Knowing the cause of your symptoms is half the battle. Seeing your doctor is the other half.

no one can really help another person overcome depression. Only the person herself/himself can help him/herself get over depression. Depression is just feelings, to get over it, takes acceptance, forgiveness of self, and finally the courage to get back up..friends, and family are always there to guide. Depressed people need the most love, the most care and yet, the most space...this is the only way they can heal and start over.

by reprogramming the though process bad memories bring depression block them out allot of people that have depression is because something that happened to them put them in a thought loop that makes them depress .Yes the longer you are depress the worst it is to reverse it, for an example if you have been depress for 40 years or more you are going to have permanent brain changes and this will be real difficult to treat even for doctors

See a shrink and deal with your issues.
The longer you are depressed the worse it becomes as you actually start to have chemical changes in your brain! Just medication may help, don't stay on it long. most Anti-depressants have a side effect sexually!

Definitely talk to your doctor before starting any type of medical treatment. I've found a combination of exercise and prescription drugs to be the best treatment.
