I'm very open minded, and, probably, yes I believe in ghosts!

I had a few weird experiences as a child about the time of the death of my Grandmother - they couldn't be explained!

Another incident : My Great aunt was terrified by a dark figure in the night, that she first thought was a burglar.... it becond her to follow and then disappeared in the darkness..... 3 hours later she heard from the Hospital that her mother had died!

And finally, A young woman up the road from where I live was frightened in the night my an old lady in her dressing gown, who was trying to get in her back gate.... she looked like she'd just come out of the shower as her hair was wet!..... The woman thought the old lady had escaped from somewhere and was terrified, and ran down the street to stay with her friend for the rest of the night!.......

Weeks later, I realised that she lived in the same house that an old lady (named Dorris) used to live in.... Dorris couldn't stand the shame of the squaller she lived in, and was about to move to a new home in a few days.... she asked for help from the social services, but was refused..... two nights before she was due to move, she walked up the road in her nightdress and drowned herself in the canal at the top of the road!...... Spooky, but true!

I'm still open-minded...... But I think there is too much evidence to suggest that they DO exist!

Sleep Tight!

I very much believe in ghosts. When i worked in a Pub (the oldest pub in the town that used to be the towns court house) a psychic came in and he was telling about the ghosts i has seen there. I use to catch a glimpse of a reddish brown cloaked figure walking along one part in the mirror but there was no one there, that was the old judge who kept everyone under control. And i was always hearing footsteps coming from the back door into the main bar but there was no one there. I used to check the toilets but there was, more often than not, no one there. He also told me loads of stuff about my nan and granddad who are, apparantly, watching over me. He was telling me things that even my best friends don't know like some really private thoughts i was having at the time but my nan and granddad told him! And there is no way he could have guessed and i had not told a single sole.

Yes i believe in ghosts. I see them all the time.
My most intense vision came when i went travelling and i stayed in an LA youth hostel. Me and this other girl were making tea in the kitchen late at night (we were the only two in the room). Then we both just felt something and turned around at the same time and both said "oh my god, did you feel that?" There was an electric presence by the door to the kitchen and we felt it move around the kitchen wall. Although neither of us physically saw it, we could both describe the vibe it gave off (although we both sensed the ghost as a different thing). It also made a clicking sounds as it went round the room. Luckily as soon as it moved away from the door, we legged it out of the kitchen. But there was a definite presence there, otherwise how did we both feel it at exactly the same time?

To address this subject, you need to consider the usage of the word Ghost. A lot of people feel that they have had an encounter and it can often be explained away. However, there have also been cases that could not. I have experienced several occasions that I have encounter spirits and have had "messages" related to me. Were they real? Since there was no tech equipment to try to record anything, I will never know for sure. Could a person' s mind create a vision that they need at the time? Who knows? One of the best shows to watch that uses high tech equip to debunk ghostly stories is on Sci Fi and is called "Ghost hunters" I would suggest that people watch that and then think about their encounters. Even get hold of TAPS to come and check it out.

I believe. I was once sitting in my living room (at college - but was not under the influence of any thing at this time) watching a movie with my g/f. The stairs to upstairs were to the right of how we were oriented so they were barely in our peripheral vision. There was also a doorway in the middle of the wall so we could only see the middle portion of the stairs.

Well, we both saw a figure in white quickly go down the stairs, heard footsteps too. We both looked over and waited, muted the TV, but nothing else happened. We figured it was my housemate playing a joke, so I said "very funny ####, you really scared us". Then we heard his voice obviously reply from upstairs. We looked at each other and I got up and went through the doorway to see who it was, but there was noone there. The only way out was through the front door that was closed and locked and we would have heard open up. We asked my mate about it and he thought we were playing a trick on him because he saw the same thing pass his door just a few seconds before I said something!

That house was haunted I am sure of it. All 5 of us in the house had odd things happen several times. And in fact we all, over the course of a month or so, we all experienced very powerful dreams. When we finally decided to talk about them, we all described the girl in the dreams almost exactly the same. So we figured this girl was in our house. She never hurt us or anything.

Yes, I believe in them. There was a woman that had died in the house that we grew up in & my siblings claimed that they saw her ghost outside the window facing toward the garden.
We did have strange occurrences in the house (several light bulbs popping in the same room but then working properly later on without the bulbs being changed, things suddenly disappearing & showing up in the most unlikely places later on, cold spots, etc.) but these may be contributed more to poltergeist activity more to a haunting. We were a large family & poltergeists are very likely to be around adolescents.
My mother did have a very frightening [supernatural] experience in my sister's bedroom & would never sleep in that room after that.
I have seen a doppelganger of my cat (which is very likely--she is an evil thing!), & ectoplasm in the sense of an entity that could fully materialize.
I think that we all have the ability to see them if we only our minds to them. All children have the ability until it is "brain-washed" out of them, which I think is extremely sad. I think that if we were to keep an open mind to these type things it would be easier to open hearts & minds to other things as well, like being more acceptable of others [living] as well.

I lived in a flat once which was converted from a victorian house and every night I would hear footsteps to my front door, a key go in the lock and then nothing. I even opened the door when I heard the key go in but there was no one there. The handle though was ice cold!
My sister had the flat after me and claimed she would wake in the night and an old man would be sitting on the end of the bed, smiling at her!

I totally believe in them. Yes I have seen them. If you would like to try to see some for yourself there is a great FREE website called www.Asylumcam.com where you can go and watch a haunted house via live web cams. There is a message board that you can visit and see images of ghosts that members of the site have "captured." It is a really fun site and I have seen several things their myself.

I believe in ghosts.
case in point.
I bought this house from the family of the man that used to live next door to my brother.
I had to do extensive remodeling to it.
One day as my brother and I were doing some plumbing in the basement we both heard the front door open and someone walk across the living room and into the dining area.
We both came up stairs to see who and how they got in as the front door was locked.
There was nobody there at all.
Both of us said at the same time it must have been the man that lived there checking out what we were doing to his old place.
