A Mal is larger and more solid. They also only have brown eyes.
A Sibe is smaller, more agile and can have blue eyes.
Sibes are also more social than Mals and are more accepting of strange dogs. Mals are very pack oriented...if your not from their pack, they will be wary of you.
Also Mals are the most closely related domesticated dog to wild wolves. The order is wolf, malamute, akita, then husky.

Well I have a Siberian Husky ! Alaskan Malamute is bigger then a Siberian husky. Mine has 1 blue eye and 1 brown eye.

Siberian Husky is originated in Siberia, while Alaskan Malamute originated in Alaska...........i guess!!!!

Huskies are smaller in size and can have blue eyes and are sled dogs they are able to run very long distances. Mal's are heavier dogs with only brown eyes and are a draft dog they pull heavy sleds not fast. They don't have the endurace of a Husky.

Siberians are lighter and quicker, they were bred for speed. They are also much more independant than Malamutes, and they are more likely to run away. Malamutes are heavier and not as quick. They weren't bred for speed, they were bred for endurance. They tend to stick with their owner and do what he says. They aren't as likely to run away.

physically, the Malamute is stockier than the Husky and the Malamute is best recognized by its tail, which curls over its back.
