Actually you are not far off. The point you miss is that to recieve forgivness you have to actually mean from your heart that youare sorry for what you have done and will try not to sin again.

You see, God know we will make mistakes and wants us to know that even when we fail God still loves us.

On the other hand God love everyone equally so God set some basic ground rules tha God wants us to follow. IF you intensionally break a rule and are not remorseful you must pay the price for breaking the rule. If you are remorseful Jesus antes up the price.

Our bigest problem is the rules. God gave Moses ten to start with and when the Israelites couldnt quite rap their minds around those GOd broke it down to abour 631 trying to cover every topic of the time including if you cow gores someone and it is a first offense there is one response and if it is a second time you cow gores there is a different price. This really didn't work well either. People are much too creative and kept creating situations that didn't match exactly what was written so Jesu wrote the simplified version. Love God, Love everyone around you, Love yourself. Then Jesus showed us How to do this by turning the other cheek, standing on the truth regardless of the consequences, asking God to forgive those who had harmed him and finally loving himself enough by putting a stop to his own suffering by saying It is finished.

Once you have been set free by Jesus Christ of all past sins, like Jesus said to the woman caught in adultery, a part of this says 'Sin no more!!...' As you grow into a relationship with the Lord, sin becomes a hatred to you, it becomes an abomination. If you sin even after getting forgiveness, your end is worse off than your beginning!! For the Bible says, even as we continue not to leave our old nature behind, we are crucifying Christ. And the wages of sin is death, whether you are born again or not! If you continue to dwell in sin, punishment will be mete to you - but God is merciful, ever giving us time to repent and confess and to be cleansed from all unrighteousness through Jesus Christ. But let us not take it for some free deal, in the end you pay the price for your actions for God is Just.

No, I recall the saying went like this, Jesus died for our sins. God did the forgiving. That means we will be forgiven if we choose to sin.
People do wrong everyday, what you may consider, is the fact that we are many people are smart enough to do right and live morally correct day to day.
Morals are taught by our parents.....or not!
We merely choose how we are going to adapt them in our lives. Your question can be interpreted as a moral question, not as a religious question.

P.S. I do not believe in God. I am just stating my point of view from where I sit.

Not free of sin, free from sin. Free from the power that sin held over us. Jesus paid for the consequences of our sin. The power of sin was separation from God. Now we can have a relationship with the Creator of all that exists

No, No, No! Jesus died 'for' our sins. So we would be forgiven should we sin. But we are an ungrateful lot - us humans. We all act like this thing life is personally ours, each and everyone ALONE, not true we are each here to look after the other guy. GET IT ? aww, never mind!

For God so loved the world.

Wrong. Talk to a priest or clergyman. Have you heard of hell, of purgatory. You are but will suffer the consequences. If you sin, you can seek absolution. You must repent or suffer the consequences.
Look first to the Ten Commandments, for a list of do's and don'ts. These came directly from God. The teachings of Jesus were instructions to refrain from sin.

If thats what you want to do with your life, sure go for it.

Yes, Jesus died for all of our sins, which makes it a non-issue in your spiritual life. However, just because you are going to heaven, if you are believer, doesn't mean there is equality in Heaven.

For Example, If i gave 10 people each a million dollars, and told them to do whatever they want with it. And then I come check up on them a year later, they all would not be equal. One person might have invested the money, one would have squandered it away, and maybe another would have spent nothing.

As for Jesus sacrifice being a ticket to sin, I don't think many people will take it as that (though in essence it is). I see it as a freedom from concerning your life of not sinning, and allowing yourself to grow spiritually and learn what it is that God wants for your life. Because, how many christians do you know that all they concentrate on is not sinning their whole life, yet they haven't opened a Bible in ages?

Romans 6:10-11, "For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. Even so consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus. "

Additionally the remainder of Romans Chapter 6 discusses that even though we are free from sin, that it is not the will of God to take advantage of the free gift of salvation, but to know that it is no longer the issue in your own spiritual life.

And yes do keep on sinning after salvation, because we still are still in the old body with a sin nature.

In Conclusion, To grow spiritually, people shouldn't be bogged down with worries of sinning or not. God have already proven that no one is perfect not even one, therefore we need a savior, so stop worrying about being perfect and start learning what God's Grace and will for your life actually is.

No. Not free of sin or free to sin. Everyone is a sinner, no matter what or when, church member or not. But if you accept the religion, then no matter what, you're in. Presumably, one should then try to be a good sport.

Some interpret the situation as you do. They say, love god and do what you want, but that is really a contradiction because if you love god you won't do what you want.

It seems to me that you have an issue with jesus and sin and are looking for a way to justify your behavior when all along you have the answer inside you, your conscience. Find out where you put it and dust it off and actually use it.

The Bible also says, "work out your salvation with fear and trembling." And "by their fruits you will know them." We are not free to sin, we are free from sin. I cannot dwell in the light and continue to walk in darkness. If you think you can then that is your choice. My choice is to fear God and keep His commandments. Not only in the letter of the Law which God gave but in the spirit of the Law which Jesus gave.
