It's funny. Everyone on here is a "Christian" and no one has the same answers -smh- Christianity was made and or invented By Paul. Who never met Jesus but in his so called dream.. He was a Jew living amongst the Romans. And what do you think Jesus (pbuh) will have to say? Every one who followed this NEW Religion if it wasn't in his intention to create a NEW Religion.. hmmm
In this NEW religion it calls for the worship of Jesus! and not God. Jesus. Worshiped God. His so called followers worship him. BIGGEST sin. The only Sin unforgivable! not to mention

Consider the well-founded arguments in this book:
_The Mythmaker: Paul and the Invention of Christianity_, Maccoby, H.,
ISBN 0-7607-0781-1
The author has a scholarly understanding of the ancient Mediterranean world and the context in which the religion of Christianity came into being.

Actully christianity was part of Judaism but when pagan rulers needed a religion to make PEACE among their poeple. They supported ideas given by Paul as the christianity. Even today you will find many lapses in the doctorine of this religion which was used to press rebellion and creating gap between religion and govt. You can judge that even writtings of OTHER people (letters) are considered HOLY.

Are you referring to the modern day church age religion or the old-age bible time religion. There is a difference. I think that Yeshua Hamashea(Jesus Christ) brought Christianity to attention when He died upon the cross, but what the modern day catholic movement has done since the days of Constantine and infant baptism has made the christianity we have now. Hope this helps.

The first group of people, to call themselves Christians, happened in the Book of Acts in the Bible. No one invented Christianity. No person founded it, either. Read the book of Acts, it will tell you the History.

Probably Paul of Tarsus, who was in all likelihood a Roman spy who infiltrated what was at the time a sect.
It then took many years, hundreds of years of change before the more-or-less current form of dogams and beliefs (like the trinity, Jesus being a god instead of just a teacher) took shape in 325 when the Emperor Constntine, who was looking for a religion to unify his empire called together a bunch of priests (like a congress) and had them pass the "Churchland Security Bill" that made Jesus a god, the holy spirit a god, Mary a pure virgin, and lots of other things like deciding which books to allow in the bible and which ones to exclude.

Jesus Christ Himself invented the Christian religion when He came down from Heaven to die for our sins: and, He groomed His apostles to go forth and teach the good news to the world and He established His Kingdom and His Holy Church on Earth. The continuously unbroken succession of leaders of His Church is the Pope of the Catholic Church, the original Christian Faith that Jesus established.

Nobody invented the religion, but in the ancient city of Antioch, those who followed the teachings of Christ and believed in Him were called as Christians - followers of Christ. Jesus did not come to establish a religion but to establish a relationship between a Loving Father seeking His lost children. I do not think we would call our relationships with our parents as religion!! It is us who has complex ed the entire simplicity of the Gospel to make it look like a whole lot of religious operation.

I would say Paul got the ball rolling and the Pagan Emporer Constantine used it to further his own agenda... by making it a state religion. The Roman Catholic Church made it official when they stepped in after Rome fell.
Ever wonder why, right after Jesus supposedly died and resurrected, that it is called the Dark Ages?
