As child, I was taught both by religion and overall pop culture that I will meet god after being checked in at the pearly gates, but nowadays, I think that this view does not do divinity nor humanity justice. It makes more sense to me that we all have god within us, and is the inspiration for the beauties we have created: science, art, music, architecture, literature. The fact that I can say that within me, is divine, is a very empowering statement, and I am currently trying to invest faith into that, both personally and researching other religious doctrine that agrees with that.

If you have believed and trusted in what the Lord Jesus Christ did on the cross then God the Holy Spirit will dwell in you. He died for your sins, He was buried and took your sins away and He rose again for your justification. 1 Corinthians 3: 16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? When you die, the body returns to the ground but your soul and spirit returns to God who gave it. 2 Corinthians 5: 8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

We have God the Holy Spirit living in us now.
If we have faith and believe in the Son Jesus, we will meet God the Father face to face when we die.

If you are a believer in Christ and have faith that he has saved you from your sins and therefore death, then you will dwell with him in heaven after you depart from this earhtbound flesh (new Earth after the end of this age). If you mean by "live in God", having faith in and doing the commands of God then yes we should do that and we will dwell with Him after death. If you mean we are God, then no, even though the Holy Spirit dwells within those who have been baptized, they are not God.

Psalm 23 KJV
1The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Luke 23:43 KJV
And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.

Revelation 21 KJV
1And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
