Jordan the answer is why not !!
God the all powerful creator has the right privilege and power to demand any thing he wants. Man tends to forget that and we as a created being want to have our way and say as to how one believes and is accepted by the creator.
You are not sure ? Well young man if you want to be sure seek out the wisest of the wise the smartest of the smart and create something then create the heavens and the earth from nothing. When you find you can not accept the fact that there is a God.
With simple logic one would need to say he should have the right to do things his way. For where were you when he made all things when were you consulted is the design of all the universe and Who are you to tell God any thing.
There is a major fact most people even believers miss about the word of God.
From the very beginning of mans creation God has always been a God of conditions. His dealings with man have always been "I will if you will". So If you will not seek him or believe in him He will Send you to Hell.

You ask three questions. For the first question, if you are referring to the God of the Bible, and Jesus as that "particular person," then the brief answer from that perspective is that God gave proof to everyone by raising Jesus from the dead (see Acts 17:30-31 if you want to look up a reference).

For the second and third questions, I don't know why you would think that you or anyone else would go to hell due to uncertainty or ignorance. If you think that is the historic Christian perspective, you are mistaken. In Christianity, God does not judge people for things that they do not know. Instead, people are judged for their sin. If you are without sin, don't worry, since the righteous don't need a savior.

If you have not heard or the gospel was presented to you falsely you go to heaven. Only those who have heard and choose not to follow are banished. i.e. if God walks up to you and says hi and you turn you back and walk away, do not expect God to be all that friendly when you need a place to live.

There is much flowerly language used to describe hell. What hell is is living in a place that God does not exist. Here on earth God exist everywhere even if we choose not to acknoledge it. Hell is even that being gone.

There is no excuse anymore for not becoming familiar with Christ and God one and the same. There are millions of faithful and many who have the wisdom of the ancients and today's world has much to offer to those who WANT TO FIND OUT ABOUT GOD. There are churches but beware some may be false prophetic churches.
It is your duty to find out and to believe and accept Christ.
IGNORANCE KILLS.

Why should you die if you walk right now in Iraq and by ignorance you just walk through the midst of Baghdad's worst enemy zone? and get killed! WAS IT IGNORANCE? STUPIDTY? YOU WOULD MAKE IT A POINT TO FIND OUT WHERE NOT TO GO SO YOU DONT GET KILLED IN IRAQ RIGHT?

SAME GOES FOR GOD. IGNORANCE LEADS TO EVIL MANY A TIME.
IF YOU ARE NOT SURE YOU STUDY MORE. You ask. YOu see miracles from other people, you study history and if you had to ask this it tells me that you actually are thinking of it.

MILLIONS WILL GO TO HELL BECAUSE THEY DO NOT CHOOSE GOD, BUT THE DEVIL GOD'S NUMBER ONE ENEMY. And it can be simple things to heanious crimes done whre evil convinces you to do wrong.
There is no excuse today for not finding out more and immersing yourself in righteousness. The devil attacks , and it will mix enough truth in his attack to humans that humans fail to believe in God and thus do wrong.

TURN AWAY FROM GOD AND ALL YOU WILL SEE IS DEATH.

ok, in islam someone who is goin to hell is someone who got the message and willfully ignores it or disbelieves it. if u didnt get the messsage of God and so becoz of that believed in something else without knowledge, then ur forgiven. but, if u recieved the message and still dont believe, then ur destiny is hell, whether u've been good or evil in this world.

thats y u hav to liv by God's rules to go to heaven. its like that for everything. u, c, for example, in a school or job interview, u hav to behave in a certain way to get the place or post, rite? its the same thing, except in this case, instead of being unemplyed, ur r sent to hell forever. so, there is a diffenrence, but the example is just to show u y God wants us to be obedient to him.

just imagine for a sec that u r a god, ok? u would hav ur own rules and regualtions for ur servants to follow, yea? so u hav some servants who follow u and some who dont follow u and refuse to believe that ur their master. now, when they die, would u even consider puttin the disobedient servants into heaven? no, u'd only put the obedient ones into heaven. God works the same way. if we believe and obey, we go to heaven, but if we dont, well, watch out and prepare urself for his wrath and let it b known to u that ur final destiantion is hell.

The knowledge of a savior or a heaven is not what gets people in heaven and the lack of it certainly doesn't quallify them for hell. I believe that it's our choices that determine where we end up. You can choose to believe and try to live like a Christian should, or you could choose to go your own way - whether it gets you to heaven or not depends on your actions.

Its all about faith.
If you have faith and believe then you will go to heaven.
Gos is a jealous God but a just God.
Thats why the road to hell is short and wide as well as paved with good intentions.

His son was not sacrificed to confuse you or make you join a religion. He sacrificed his son so you would be set free. Without His son you would be under the law, and failure to Abey these laws would sentence you to eternal death. His plan was to free you from the penalty.
