I'm from Texas, so i just wanted to know what others thought about my southern accent. :-)

I don't think they're the least bit sexy. American accent are pretty common and normal; most things that people consider sexy are usually something that is unusual, rare, or out-of-the-ordinary.

Sorry, but I feel that sexy is the wrong word that comes to mind. Southern accents are sweet but I find that a sexy american accent is a New York accent.

I'm male and live in Alabama. On an airplane once, I sat next to a woman from South Africa and we were both totally enamored with each other's accents. We spent the whole flight talking and in the event the conversation lulled we would just make up stuff or read aloud just to hear the other one speak! LOL!!

I love the American accent.
I was watching, or rather listening to, Pulp fiction last night and I found myself rather hot for John Travoltas voice.
I don't like the 'gangster' type accent with all the slang they use to go with it, nor do I like the 'sup gurl frennnnnnnnnd' crap!! lol
But on the whole, yes, the American accent is sexy!!

did someone tell you that you have a sexy accent? I am from Louisiana...I have a slight twang. No one ever said it was sexy...just cute....kind of in a dumb way.
I can not hear it myself...so I do not know how I sound.
I like to hear French accents...French people speaking English. Or Hispanic.

Southern hospitality coupled with that southern drawl is sexy to those who have an ear for it. I very much appreciated when I was down south, doing relief work after the hurricanes, how I was addressed as "ma'am". It either was " yes ma'am.. thank you ma'am...no ma'am...always polite..no matter what age they were they always treated me with respect. I will always be fond of a southern accent. Be proud of your upbringing. Hope you are just as respectful as the folks I met.
