There's no such thing as a sin so big God can't forgive it.
He died on the cross for all sins, not just the little ones like lying or stealing or whatever.
Murderers can receive forgiveness, too - you just have to be willing to ask for it!

Wow. This is the trickiest question in the world. The simple answer is that blaspheming against the Holy Spirit is the unforgivable sin. However, you can only commit this sin if you are an unbeliever in the first place. Blasphemy is of course open blatant defiance against God. I suppose God cannot forgive it because it is pure aggressive sin, not at all given to any consideration for a consequence or repentance.

Speaking from the bible perspective, only sins against the Holy Ghost (ie, blasphemy) are unforgivable. The reason is, if you are resisting the very thing that you need to save your soul how can He help? That's like running from your taxi cab and wondering why he isn't picking you up. It's only unforgivable (not possible), as long as you run, (resist/blaspheme). Don't be so stupid as to think taking words against the Holy Ghost warrants a "Blasphemy charge" and then there is no hope. That's not what that means at all.

There is NO such thing. God can forgive it. Repent to the Lord with all your heart and you shall me saved. And remember. he died on the cross for all your sins. But if you ask God forgiveness, you should first forgive the people you hate. If you don't, God will not forgive you.

I do not believe the unforgivable sin can be committed today.

I believe the unforgivable sin was looking at Jesus, watching him perform miracles... and saying he was Satan...or had the works of the Devil.

Matthew 9:34 (NKJV)
But the Pharisees said, "He casts out demons by the ruler of the demons."

Matthew 12:23-24 (NKJV)
And all the multitudes were amazed and said, "Could this be the Son of David?" [24] Now when the Pharisees heard it they said, "This fellow does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons."

People did that when He was alive and on the earth. They saw the good healing work of God and said it was from Satan.

The Nation of Israel blaspheme the Holy Spirit and they were not forgiven but they will be forgiven when the Lord Jesus Christ returns to the earth to rule. Romans 11: 12 Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness? Romans 11: 27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. We are living in the age of grace and Jesus Christ has died on the cross for all our sins if we will only believe and trust in what He did on the cross for the sins of the world.

Yes, its is called rejecting the holy spirit. The holy spirit will convict you of your sins. Or he will make you feel sorry for doing wrong. That 'feeling' is the power of God that can change you-if you act on it and repent -you get saved. If you refuse-the holy spirit leaves you. No one one knows how many chance you get, but after a while,if you keep rejecting those feelings-the Spirit leaves you. When He does-you may never be revisited again-if so-doom.

The only sin that is not forgivable is not excepting Jesus as your lord and savior. He doesn't want sinners in heaven.
