I am NOT a doctor, but here are some things off the top of my head. Do you have a sore throat? It could be something as small as a swollen adenoids, which would be treated by anitbiotics.
On the other hand, with problems talking or swallowing, I wonder if there was ever trauma to the esophagus or trachea, causing scar tissue. I do not know how that would be treated.
There are also a lot of glands in the throat (like the adenoid example above) that could be swollen or malfunctioning, causing problems.
There is only one other possibility that I can think of, which is the worst case scenario, cancer.
I would recommend going to a doctor as soon as possible. If it is something small, why live with the discomfort? If it is something major, early intervention is always better.
God Bless,
Vic

go see a dr,it sounds like a swollen lymph node.
But if its not going away, you need to have it checked out!
Enlarged lymph nodes such as swollen glands in the neck are lymph glands which are a part of the lymph system and an important part of your body's immune system.
The truth is that tender and swollen lymph nodes usually indicate an infection and should be addressed by supporting the body naturally and building up the immune system to fight the problem. Another situation where swollen lymph nodes may be noticed is after injury to the body as the lymph glands are responsible for protecting the body from infection. Antibiotics do not build up the body's immune system they are usually only a temporary fix and can actually weaken the immune system if done frequently.

it might not be the same thing, but a while ago, quite randomly i noticed a lump right on my jaw line.. small, not big enough to see, but uncomfortable if i touched my jaw.. i went to the doctor and it ended up being a ball of fluid.. i'm not sure why i got it and i didn't ask.. she said she could drain it or i could just let it go away over time so i just left it and it did go away.. i've had a few more over the years...
again, i'm not sure it's the same thing, just thought i'd share my experience...

My Aunt had something like that, they called it a "goil" turn into a big hankering lump on her neck, about the size of a golf ball. She said it didn't hurt just hard to wear neck chains & stuff.

could be a swollen lymph node. If you feel like you're getting sick that's probably what it is. But if it comes and goes fairly often you should have it checked out.
