This looks like another text which may contain a misspelling.
Gluttu doesn't seem to be right. The nearest that would make more sense is glutto, in which case we have..

Could you step over a coin stuck in the mud and not swallow the longing for gain like a glutton?

Salivam mercurialem literally means the saliva of Mercury but in expressions like this it referred to the taste for gain. A "Mercurial" person was skilful in business.

We might render the meaning as "Could you let a business opportunity pass you by without you showing your greed?"

i used my old latin book from 6th grade, and the closest i can get is:say, Luto made me able to Nummum, but not Gluttu. for, leap like mercury, i need space.
