What belief system is best?

Question

Of all the belief systems, which system will give the most meaning and purpose for my existence?

Which will give me instructions to be successful?

Which will accept anyone even if they are a gay, crippled murdering liar?

1. Most meaning and purpose: Probably one that you develop yourself. Otherwise, select from among the off-the-shelf systems. Just about any belief system is intended to give meaning. Purpose is more a concept belonging to Christianity. Why does life have to have a purpose? For that matter, why should life be meaningful? Since you want this belief system for yourself, you'd be the best judge of which one is best for you.

2. Success. Again, what is success? If you define success in terms of material possessions, then Capitalism is probably best economically, and protestant Christianity of some sort, particularly the more revisionist versions that worship money. If success means something like living a good (moral) life, then Buddhism may be best.

3. That will accept. Well, now. That's difficult. Christianity says that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of god, and that grace will save anyone, but humans are an intolerant lot, so you must be a white, anglo-saxon protestant straight to get in. Probably a Pagan (Wicca) system might be more tolerant because more naturalistic (based on nature, not culture). Crippled is OK, gay is OK, but a murderer and liar? Well, god may accept you but your fellow humans aren't likely to do so.

I can think of a religion, maybe two, that endorses being a liar and a murderer as long as it supports their cause. But these religions would not accept you being homosexual.

If you are not really a murderer or a liar then decide for yourself the meaning of life.

This topic is dealt with extensively on the internet and you are sure to find a meaning that you believe in. My personal choice is that humanity is here to eventually answer all the riddles of the universe, that this will take a very long time, and that humanity has to unite to have any chance of achieving this. There are a few groups that would endorse this outlook.

A belief system is different from the people who you feel you need to be accepted by (that's an assembly).
The greatest instructions to be successful come one at a time through out your life. It is up to you to sort through them by trial and error and study.
Again, the most purpose and meaning for your existence, won't be found in some one Else's cookie cutter doctrine. You got to get it on your own. Good luck.

In your case 'In one self'! In this world you will very successful if you can stay out of jail and don't self destruct! The word sociopath comes to mind and this can never become a religion because they justify everything they do and there is no wrong. For a religion to work it requires people to come together under a common believe based at least on respect/honesty to each other, therefore it can never happen in the real world!

I am a born-again Christian so my belief is in Christ as our Savior. Let me leave you with this thought - Jesus did not feel thee need to minister to those who already knew the word he was "hanging" with thieves, prostitutes, .... So that is pretty accepting, we as humans are the ones who pass judgment, but since the Bible says watch how you judge because you will be judged in the same manner, I try to be careful of saying anything bad about someone God made. God does not make mistakes or junk you are here for a reason why not ask Him to show you why?

the best belief system is Islam. because Islam is logical religion.Islam says Allah create us to worship him and obey him .he want us to discover the world to know his power and his capacity to build this world and another worlds . when u find out this , u will be more religious and obey Allah to be near of him . Allah put some orders to be successful .we pray five times daily in Islam .we feel good after that .so it gives us energy to go ahead to do your job and to see the world with big view . Self-reliance. Learn for yourself. Lots of religions have many similarities, I've discovered. Just focus on those similarities instead of the differences like most people do.
