I read that Christians (maybe Muslims also) dont eat blood because ,they believe that there is soul in the blood of an animal...
If this is correct, this means that blood transfusion is against their religion.

AN INVITING OPTION

“A growing number of hospitals are offering an alternative: 'bloodless' surgery,” reported THE WALL STREET JOURNAL. “Originally developed to accommodate Jehovah's Witnesses,” stated the journal, “the practice has gone mainstream, with many hospitals promoting their bloodless-surgery programs to the general public.” Hospitals around the word are discovering numerous benefits, particularly to patients, when implementing strategies that curtail the use of blood transfusions. Currently, thousands of doctors are treating patients without resorting to transfusions.

JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES and HEALTH

Jehovah's Witnesses, some of whom are physicians and nurses, are known worldwide for their rejection of transfusions involving whole blood or primary blood components. Does their united stand against this practice stem from a man-made doctrine or a belief that a person's faith can heal medical ailments? That is far from the truth.

Cherishing their life as a gift from God, the Witnesses strive to do their best to live according to the Bible, which they believe is “inspired of God.” That book encourages worshippers of God to avoid practices and habits that harm health or endanger life, such as overeating, smoking or chewing tobacco, abusing alcohol, and using drugs for recreational purposes. (Prov. 23:20; 2 Cor. 7:1)

By keeping our body and surroundings clean and getting some physical exercise for health reasons, we are acting in harmony with Bible principles. When Jehovah's Witnesses get sick, they demonstrate reasonableness by seeking medical care and accepting the vast majority of available treatment options. True, they obey the Bible command to “keep abstaining from ... blood,” insisting on nonblood medical management . (Acts 15:29) And this choice often results in a higher quality of treatment.

Read the story of the last supper. Drink this wine for it is my blood! Sometime people take things so literally. Sure we are not cannibals but if giving my blood to save anothers life helps then how can it be a sin. I never read that the soul is in the blood. If that were true then Jesus soul ran out at the crucifixion. Eating human blood is just not healthy it will make humans sick if they eat too much.

Yes, I would. You're misled about the correlation between blood transfusion and religion. It's only a handful of people of a certain sect who are against blood transfusion. There's no single verse in the Bible that teaches us NOT to have blood transfusion.

I would. And I would doubly do so if I happened to believe what I will say below.

Some mountain tribes here used to drink blood for a similar reason. In drinking a person's blood, you are drinking his soul. When a warrior is defeated by another warrior, it is an honor for the vanquished to be absorbed by the victor. The victor likewise inherits the powers and virtues of the dead. Additionally, absorbing the dead will also mean he cannot haunt you as he becomes a part of you. He is not a wandering soul but a part of a living breathing entity. It is an old belief though, I doubt if anyone still practices it.

I don't claim any religion but my spiritual beliefs on blood transfusions make it that I will never get one or organ transplant. I don't believe the Soul is in the blood but i believe that the Karma of that being is in their blood and organs. I do not wish to be responsible for anyone elses Karma.

It's not against Christianity to transfuse blood. "Eating" blood is different from "using" blood as a form of treatment or medicine. The Bible is very specific about this.

Jehova's Witnesses do consider blood transfusion as against their religion.

The main reason true Christians 'abstain' from blood is because the 'blood of Christ' is the means of absolving or removing our sin & without that there can be no salvation. So Christians show that they recognize & acknowledge Jesus' sacrifice by depending on his blood to save them, not someone or something else's blood. & yes, a blood transfusion is against God's command, so if your faith is in God, you will not allow a doctor to try to make money off you by a transfusion, nor will you try to keep living by breaking God's Law.

I'm a Christian. We don't believe anything like that. Yes people have souls, but they have nothing to do with blood. I think you're thinking of a different religion
