It's not too young to feel as if you are in love. You can't be 'in love' with anyone that you haven't spent a lot of personal time with for several reasons. You don't know any of his ins and outs yet. He/she may REALLY not like something you REALLY do like. They may be a huge conservative when you are a huge liberal. You might spend money like water and they may be thrifty and find that annoying. They could be big into sports or some sport and spending a lot of time talking about it or playing it you hate and you totally not into any of it. Do you see where I am going with this?
If one is 16, they likely have not spent more than a few hours at the max alone with this person a week. They haven't seen what this person truly is because you only spend a small amount of time together.
One may feel as if one is in love but in actuality are more infatuated than in love. Those are very easily confused.
At 16 you can't fall in love, no. At that age one has no idea what it means, just generalized concepts from what you've read in books or seen on TV.

No...it's old enough to fall in love for the first time.
The thing is....most people don't know they are in love until the relationship is OVER. Good Luck. that's what happened to me. I didn't realize how much I changed until my girlfriend and I broke up when I was 17.

No...it is okay to be in love as long as you know what you r doing.I fell in love and start dating at the age of 16 too and my parents were ok with it cos' it did not affect my performance in school. If you think it will not affect you badly then go for it!
