I'm picking up a budgie tomorow from the pet store, and need a cute and catchy name. Any ideas?

Try to think of something that you would name a human. If you would name a human Princess, name the birdie Princess. If you would name the human Julia, name the birdie Julia, ect. Pick a name you like and one that is not ridicuolous.

I agree with the top, choose a name that compares to the bird's personality and character. Even the features would be a clue.
That was basically what I did.

I think you should wait a few weeks until its character starts showing. Then the name will hit you. It's not always good to name a bird from the beginning because sometimes afterwards you realise it does not suit it.

Depending upon the color and the personailty that would be the only way you could name the bird

white: frosty
yellow: limone- italian for lemon
green: verde- italian for green

aww. well..you should get it home..and when he calms down from the new enviorment and starts showing his persoality..u will find a good name for him.
I have birds..ive had many keets..and i had one named morris. and i have one now named tweety. lol.
they have cute lil personalitys and thats the best way to do it..is when they start showing it. what color is he and how old is it?

pessy,mickey,pary and check for budgie names in yahoo you will get great names.or how they behave,look and colour.
