There is something borderline arrogant about Christians saying Atheists do not like the hard work it takes to be a true believer.

I donate from my paycheck to an animal charity, not for personal glory, but because animals are innocent and most, if not all, of their unnecessary suffering is because mankind arrogantly and wrongly puts itself above them.

I donate my blood whom many Christains recieve.

Perhaps you dont understand what Christians are saying. Scripture states that our faith has nothing to do with us. It is a free gift from God. No hard work involved.
I would agree that Christians can be arrogant. And selfish. And just about any other negative label you care to apply. In short, Christians are sinful people. But, people who live in the forgiveness given freely through faith in Christ.

Charity anyone can do. But understand this. You get rewarded on this life not in Hereafter. Ok.

If you don't believe in God, then you do it for what? Yourself, right? Not for the pleasure of God but for yourself. Some do it so they can tell everyone here how much they give.

You're reward happens here. Charity starts at home. That means, put human beings first. And anyone helping homeless...you are not doing a favour. He's your fellow man or woman. It is your duty to help. It's not charity but a duty on all men and women to help their fellow man.

It is your duty to help animals too but don't go like an idoit and put animal before human beings and start blaming humans for everyones misery. I cannot stand people who do that.

In one hand they give and in other they blame. Give, help and stop cursing humanity. Cause end of the day, its you who your cursing and shout against.

I agree 100% with Corpus. If you're giving has no higher purpose, then hey, what is your purpose? You care? Care for what? Humans? Oh, right, so youre doing it for the pleasure of getting recognition from humans? Oh, no? Then what for?

To get rid of your guilt maybe? You do good, then you're doing good for the world and deep inside, your asking God, to show Himself, hmmm? So you may believe?

All people can be charitable. What some don't understand is that charity is something between yourself and those you do charity for. Some tend to glorify thier giving to the public to receive their ego boost.
Kinda like Sean Penn trying to rescue people after Katrina with all his photographers.

Anyone who says that is ignorant. I've got a church-going christian sleeping on my couch rent free else he'd be homeless. I volunteered at an animal shelter for 5 years, the list goes on.

I'm an atheist, and I think BIble thumpers need to read this:

But your donations are totally insincere, and without the benefit of an all-knowing creator, ultimately meaningless. Unless you're giving with higher purpose, you might as well not give at all.

er, Adam T, I was being facetious

Anybody can generous. Not just Christians.
But doing good dose wont get you to heaven.
But you are a Atheist so you don't believe in God anyway. But let me ask you this. In order to be an Atheist you have to know everything about everything. Witch is impossible, because you would have to know everything about everyone in the world. Now knowing everything about everyone in the present and past is conceivable, because we only use one quarter of our brain. But you would have to know everything about the future witch is impossible.
To put it simply

Christian living is not hard work, it is a changed life from within. Scriptures say that our righteousness is as filthy rags. We think we are being righteous and charitable, and without Jesus, we are being led by the flesh for our own glory.

Bible thumping Christians are extremists and not only consider non-Christians to be amoral, they consider them actively promoting evil. And would murder them if they had the power & authority to do so.

To a thumper, it doesn't matter what you do, non-Christians are equivalent to Satan and should be executed.
