I just got another cocker spaniel male who is chocolate/white parti-colored. I usually have no problem with names but he's got me stumped.
I don't want anything to do with his color like, Coco, Chocolate, Hershey, Brownie, etc.

What I do is...I choose the ones I like best...then...I let my puppy "adopt" the one he likes!!! start playing with him and then call him...see how he reacts! (OK...maybe it's a bit stupid but what can I say... it really works for me!)...

Try not to select the long ones...and nothing that sounds like a command you'll use latter (nothing that ends in NO...or IT)

Never use his name to call him if he did something wrong and you want to punish him...never say "COCO NO!" Use the name and give him some food or something he likes.

:) Good Luck!

He sounds really cute! Hmmm.... this is tough! You wouldn't want to name him something common like Fido or Spot, not that they are bad names.. just they are very over used. Maybe Chance, Striker, Bosco (I love that name!), Boxer, Wellington (lol), Mr. Wuggles, Jimbo, Phillip, Buster, Timmy, Dino, Nixon, Shake 'n' Bake(just kidding!), Mecutio, Hamlet, or Skeeter! There are so many names and I hope I helped you out! Best of luck and congrats on the new family member!

Freeway (Because he allows you to go first and he'll follow) FreshStar (also sounds like precious star) Armour (Because he protects you) FirstWink (Because his first wink at you makes you chose him) BraveSpan (Not afraid of anything just to save you) Pillow (just your favorite pillow). Good Luck!!!
