Cut sideways, don't saw! That's where the squeaking sound comes from because when anyone cuts their meat, they are really sawing and not pressing down hard enough. Hope this helps.

I wouldn't worry about normal eating noises too much.

But if you are really concerned, apart from the excellent sharp knife advice above, sometimes also the quality of the plate underneath can make a difference too. Better quality crockery is less likely to let you down, than cheap and cheerful china.

i can not touch meat, cut back it, cook dinner it, seem at it, consume it....i do no longer even decide for to think of a few cow being killed so some fat guy could have his slave-for-a-spouse cut back it into little products, open his mouth, and feed him his extreme-calorie dinner. As for the bread, i think of any guy is able to putting butter on his bread, and doing it greater to his liking than anybody else could desire to for him.

Get a sharper knife and don't press down so hard. You should put more engery into the side-to-side motion of cutting. Also, this way you will not squish your meat and lose juice.

Stop sawing back and forth as you get close to the plate. Rather push down and tear away. It takes some practice but works for me.

Use a paper plate and a plastic knife. I am surprised that you don't remember that from your prison days.
