We ARE supposed to eat animals. we are part of the food chain that was created in this world. Vegetarians have their reasons NOT to eat animals, but other animals eat animals lower on their food chain... we are just part of that chain.

We're made of the same things they are...you want people going all carniverous on ya? Nope.
Im vegetarian, Im not one of those 'animal-activists', I have no problem if people want to eat meat. But, I dont think its good for your system, an example I was given once was
'Fill 2 bowls with water (these represent your stomach), in one put a bean, in the other put a piece of meat. Now, meat generally takes 72 hours to get through your system, a bean takes MUCH less, but to make it easier, keep them both in there for 72 hours. The bean will sprout and do happy bean things, the meat will rot and generally do quite discusting things. This is whats going on in your body.'
Ew, like I said, I have no problem with people that eat meat...the main reason I started vegism (9 years ago) was coz my mothers cooking was foul!

I live for this long yet I never know we are not supposed to eat animal. Your question I don't quite get. Meat are made out of animal not animal are made out of meat as your question suggested. Anyway, we can eat any meat so long as there is no toxin in it.

Who said that we arent suppose to eat animals? It's called the food chain. We are part of that chain. We are animals too. Vegetarians don't eat meat because they think it is cruel to slaughter an animal when you can live without eating it but they don't get the nutrients that meat eaters get from eating meat.

I've got this funnesllent idea. When it comes down to deciding the lottery numbers, what we do is get forty nine (CAN 8,632) cows and paint numbers on each of them. Then we stampede them across a minefield in Angola or Somalia, somewhere we don't really care about all that much. The first six that get blown into hamburger, mince, steak and what have you, we write down their numbers, and away you go! Someone gets a million quid (CAN $965,907,433.22) and a years supply of fresh meat, delivered right to their door. Does anyone know Richard Branson's phone number? I reckon I'm onto a f*ckin' winner here.

Meat is yummy. I'm gnawing on some pemmican made from baby seal and whale blubber that me mum made just yesterday.
We inuit believe in waste not, want not. We use all the animal...we are clothed in its skin and fur, we cook and light our homes with its fat, its bones are used to make our weapons.
Just last summer we floated me nan out to sea in a umiak made from a walrus hide. She will spend (did spend?) the rest of her days eating fish and seabirds and when she passes will probably be eaten by a whale.
I will harpoon that whale this winter with a harpoon made from the thighbone of me grandfather. We will have a party as we skin the carcass - the circle of life goes on!

It's not just about eating them, it is about killing them in ingenious and painful ways. Tescos should be allowed to charge more for steaks cut from a cow that is still alive. Baby lambs should be skinned alive and then shoved through mincers while still kicking to make truly fresh mince. Turkeys should be (and have been) used as baseballs in order to tenderise the meat before it is ripped off their still living bones. Ham joints should be sold one at a time, with the pig feebly hopping about on its remaining limbs until we turn up to chop off another one. Animals deserve pain. It is good that they suffer for our comfort and pleasure. We rule the planet, they are way, way down the food chain so they get eaten. End of story, yah boo sucks to you f*cking teehuggers.

Humans are omnivores which means we can eat meat and / or greens and don't have to restrict our diet to one or the other thing. Some Vegetarians believe that humans aren't made to eat meat, but that's actually wrong, sorry to say.
