A sudden violent mind is only your thoughts. You don't have to act upon your thoughts. I hope your mind is strong enough to know right from wrong. You control your thoughts. If you have violent thoughts then try replacing those thoughts with peaceful good thoughts. Every time you have a bad thought think of something good. Force yourself until it is natural to thing good things.

I take a long walk and think about why the heck I thinking like that. Walking tends to give me time to calm down before I react with that violent mind that comes out now and then.. and During that time I am praying. =)

It would depend on exactly what you mean by sudden violent mind. If it's just stress, anxiety, etc. There are lots of stress relieving and relaxation techniques. There are also lots of different meds for all sorts of emotional issues. There is no shame in taking medication if it is needed. I take an anti anxiety med and also an antidepressant. I think maybe you need to talk to your doctor or your family if you are a minor and see what options there are for you. I mean no offense by this, but if you are having thoughts of harming yourself or others you need to talk to someone, dr. family, friend, counselor etc. IMMEDIATELY. Please try to get help for whatever is bothering you. I struggled with my problems for years and actually I still struggle with them everyday, but it is better. There is nothing out there that is worth letting it take over and ruin your life. Trust me on this one. PLEASE!! I'm speaking from experience. Good luck and I hope thinks get better for you.

there is lots of great advice here..
something I think it is worthy to ask is.. Have you ever heard of something called Intermittent Explosive Disorder.. it seems as if this might be something that you should look into.. especially if it is adversly affecting family or work/school relationships..
With the right medication it is very treatable. please follow the link here for an explaination ..

If you find this fits your pattern of behavior it might be best to seek thehelp of a qualified physician or psychologst/psychiatrist.. I wish you the best of luck..
Again, if you don't find a natural remedy through things like yoga or meditation or behavioral adjustments.. this is very treatable with medication if you find yourself acting on your thoughts. Be smart and don't hurt the ones around you that you love.
Best Wishes and good luck to you :)

Put a thought into your mind when you are normal that these violent thoughts are not yours but are coming from a source outside.

Stop everything. Breathe in. Breathe out. Repeat. Count to ten. Leave the room. Do anything BUT yell or hit or do whatever you had a mind to do when you were "seeing red."
