This either has it's roots in your childhood with someone else who you witnessed being sick, or your response could be because of a feeling of lack of control and feeling overwhelmed.
One saying that comes to me may help: "Depression is anger turned inside". What about your disorder makes you angry? Perhaps you need to journal, or go hit and yell at a tree to get your anger out.
Another thing to consider is often anger/depression is an response to being scared. You could learn more about the disorder and try and find the positives to change your mindset.
To try and find what you are angry about just start journaling. For somepeople, they need to have it out with God, or their parents, or themselves, fate, or anyone or anything else they can blame; and please blame away whether it seems sensible or not, you need to go through the process to find your truth.
Good luck and God Bless.

It is quite normal for most people to become sick every now
and again. Do you have high expectations of yourself ?
Are you too hard on yourself ?
Drop your expectation levels a little and relax.
Tension can make us sick.

it is natural to have minor depression after systematic medical problems, though it is transitory and may resolve without intervention,if not then simple anti depressant therapy will do.
