As far as I know, My father used to be on Atkins - WOAH did he lose weight fasssssst. And tons of it as well. He gained it all back, of course, once he ate a little bit of carbs.

A male friend of mine did Atkins and dropped 40 pounds really fast... and gained most of it back within a year because he couldn't stay off the carbs. Don't know how many pant sizes that is.. depends on your height, built and how muscular you are.
