Sister in my view all females are attractive to men. I do not believe there is such a thing as a nonattractive woman. Every sister is attractive to some person or another. However, the niqab is for any lady who wants to choose it. But, remember that niqab is not required. Quran has not specified the sisters hide their faces. Covering the face came later on. In fact, during hajj it is required that sisters do not cover their faces.

Beauty has nothing to do with the niqab to my knowledge. After than Allaho a'lim!

Assalamu alaikkum, What's hijab? The meaning of hijab is covering by a curtain or a cloth. Sister first of all we shouldn't read the quran as a story book it's a literature and to the top it's words of the creator "ALLAH".

So what's hijab is nothing but covering. Covering what? The parts of the body that simulates the feeling of other men around you. It's not the scarf or a burha that makes a covering. Any piece of cloth that covering the whole body without the face, hands and foot. Please understand the difference between covering the head and covering the face. We should cover the head. But related to face I can't say anything.

So hijab is necessary for all the women, it doesn't mean whether they are beautiful or not. See a woman may be ugly to one man may be beautiful to another man. So every woman must cover her body. That's hijab.

And other thing hijab in anyway doesn't affect the freedom of the women. I could assure you. Because in India where I'm living there are many women working and going around the place maintaining the hijab. It protects them from the eye sight of evil men rather than affecting the freedom of women.

And women sisters I would humbly request not to wear any sexy or simulating dresses because it will surely affects your lifestyle.

For example if two sisters are walking in a street, one wearing a topless and she is somewhat black say for example and other wearing a scarf covering her body where she is white and beautiful. When you take a report most of the men will sight at the half covered woman. Though she is ugly.

And other thing Hijab is not only for the women but also for "THE MEN". Men who are going in the street or somewhere else he should maintain a low angle sight if they meet any women. And this is said by prophet. If a man sights at a woman with some other bad feeling. It is equal to RAPING. So we should follow the steps of Prophet Mohammed and we the men should also maintain hijab in our hearts for the kind hearted sisters.

Hope I answered the question :)

Your free to do what you want. But if I were you, I would protect myself intellectually rather than physically.

It is useless to try to find out whether something is hallah or haram. Because you would lose focus. At the end of the day you should only do something if you are 100% convinced about it.

You can protect yourself by acting decently,(i.e not flirting, and being polite and respectful). Men will not dare to approach you if they know that you are a respectable person.

However, if you are unconfident with your behavior, you can hide behind the niqab.

But be strong, men will respect you when they see how beautiful you are and how you can control your behavior without having to hid behind a hijab.

Plus, if the men around you can't control themselves, it's not your mistake, it's their mistake. If they can't help wanting you, too bad!! they're not getting anything from you. Because you are a beautiful polite woman who has manners.

Dont allow people around you to treat you like an object that need to be covered. You have are human being. You can decide what to do. Be strong. Be Beautiful, Like the God who made you Beatiful.

Niqab is fadl not fard which means if u want to do it do it and if u dont u wont be punished and the hejab or the scarf u cover ur hair with is fard which mean its a must and u will be punished if u didnt....

in some countries like Saudi Arabia u must wear it cuz if not then u are unique and u can draw attention to you but in some places like Egypt if u wear it or not u wont be recognized cuz alot wears it and alot dont..

salamu alikum,
about the neqab... a woman should wear any kind of clothes that covers all her body without showing the structure of the body itself which wouldn't expose your body parts such as in the tight pants and stuff... also your face and hands are the only parts that should be visible, in other words, if you are to wear neqab u shouldn't cover your face (not all the head) or hand (not all your arm)... also the colors... you can wear any color you want provided that it's not that type of colors that draws attention like the very bright colors....
the overall purpose of such clothing is to keep Muslim women and girls away from "fetna"...
another thing... Allah don't differ between a beautiful girl and the not beautiful girl, all are the same and equal in front of him and his law...

So, a woman should completely cover herself because men are weak-minded and frail and might think naughty thoughts? Why don't they just learn to control themselves better? Or maybe they need to look at more porn so they learn what naked women look like, because there's something seriously wrong with a man who gets aroused beyond control by the sight of a woman's face or neck--and then blames it on the woman, as if it's HER fault for being the way your god made her!

Assalamu Alaikum,‎
As much as I know about Niqab, I will put it in short, which I have learned from ‎trusted scholars of Islam:‎
‎1- Most of our clerics, agree that Niqab is a choice for the woman independently.‎
‎2- Her husband can advice her to use Niqab, but again, most of them they say he ‎should not force it on her.‎
‎3- Most of those clerics, say that it is for the woman, who is more beautiful than ‎normal, as beauty is relatively differs from one society to another, this beautiful ‎woman whose beauty may attracts men, or her beauty may bring her harassment on ‎the street, Should use Niqab.‎

To All sisters: Please try to think in this manner....‎

Using Niqab or Hijab is your duty much before being an obligation. ‎
It is your duty to protect yourself.‎
It is your duty to protect strangers from looking at you, even indecently, so they will ‎not commit the sin of looking at you, or loosing concentration on their duties.‎

At the time of our Prophet (PBUH), women of Islam came to Him asking that while ‎they walk some part of their ankle may be exposed, so HE(PBUH) said ok, you may ‎extend the length of your dress one more "Shipr", that is about 20 cm to 25 cm, and ‎HE (PBUH) made it a choice upon their request... some of them still asked, but air might blow ‎it sometimes, HE (PBUH) said ok you might extend it one "dhrea" that is about one ‎yard, and HE (PBUH) said and no more.‎ now if this dress, the long one, touches anything on road , unintentionaly, it is still conidered as clean and good for Salah "prayer", this special permission,is to make it easy on the woman and to show that Islam is a religion which respects the woman and tries to make her life more comfortabl.
What I am trying to say here, the difference, now women are trying to find a way to ‎make things shorter as per Islam, while in the past the women of Islam where trying ‎to learn and have permission to cover more and more..‎

Please think of it, are you sure that Allah and Islam wants your best as a woman, if so, ‎please think of it as a duty towards Allah.‎

May Allah protect you All

In Islam, we can not go only by what we personally believe. We have the Holy Qur'an and hadiths for a reason. This is the straight path. If you say some thing is wajib in Islam but it is not, it is definitely haram and lying. Placing your personal views in Islam, is putting words in the message of God and in Prophet Muhammad's (SAW) sayings and can be of no benefit b/c God and His Prophet (SAW) know best or else, why do we call ourselves Muslim? We Submit to God alone. Male insecurity should not be a way of manipulating the laws of God.
