Just because people choose not to handle it,doesn't mean they couldn't have. It's all part of our freedom to choose.

Cultural and societal influences are the cause so many suicides in the US. I spent 2 years living in an extremely poor west African country. The people there have HUGE problems, but they're much different from ours. Nevertheless, they're generally happier and suicide rates are low. Death comes to people there mostly from preventable diseases.
For what it's worth, my advice to someone considering suicide may sound harsh to some, but believe me, I've been there and seen it with my own eyes.
(1) Stop watching so much TV. Don't believe everything you hear. Question authority. Resist. You're not as alone as they want you to believe.
(2) Stop thinking about yourself . Go volunteer to help others in need. There are a million organizations who need your help. Just pick one and go for it. When you are busy helping others, it's amazing how much smaller your own issues start to seem.
(3) Count your blessings. No matter how bad you think you've got it, probably 95% of the rest of the world has it much, MUCH worse. We are so freaking lucky it's unbelievable.
(4) Give yourself time. You're stronger and better than you think you are.
(5) If it all STILL seems like too much to take, talk to somebody. Friends and relatives are a good shoulder to lean on, but if you're really struggling, then cut to the chase and go get professional help.
(6) Don't give up. Don't give in. It may not seem like it now, but it's worth the fight.

You would have to look at each individual case to find a specific answer to that question. How many of the people who commit suicide are born again believers? Did they fall away from their faith and into a snare of the Devil and fail to turn back to God? Those are just some of the questions you would have to ask to get a reasonable answer to your first question.

i don't believe God tests our faith. i think that is an imperfect and bastardly thing to do, and i don't think God is imperfect or bastardly. those who turn to suicide could handle more, but they just picked the wrong "solution." i'm not picking on people who try to commit suicide here, because all of us pick the wrong way to handle a problem. they just forget that suicide is a permanent answer to a temporary problem, and it's one of those mistakes you can't correct.
i believe God never gives us more than we can handle, but i think other people do a lot to push us over the edge. of course, that's from the perspective of a middle-class white girl, so i only know so much.

God did not create any of us to be a solitary creature. A burden too heavy for me to bear on my own may be easily borne with the help of a friend.
So what leads a person to suicide? Is it the burden? Or is it that no one has helped?
If no one has helped, is that because pride or shame prevents the suicide from seeking help? Has depression and despair blinded the person to the fact that there are those who are willing to share the burden?
These 'tests', major as they may be, are a challenge to grow, to learn that an individual should not attempt life alone, that it is to be shared with others, in good times and bad. I don't think anyone has ever truly died from shame, though perhaps many have in trying to hide from it. Often that which we fear is not as bad as we thought once it has been faced, especially if it is faced with another who has our back.
So, more faith, less pride and fear of shame, more sharing of burdens hopefully means less suicides.
BTW, have you offered to share someone's burden lately?

Suicide is lack of faith in God.
Bible says without Faith we cannot please God.
If you have FAITH you wont kill yourself. Suicide is not trusting God. Sure God will only give you what you can handel, but there is a deep spiritual war of evil to and if we loose our faith in God and let the evil take us down then Suicde is the result and the devil wins. Jesus dies and it was finished after that. Now we have the name of Jesus to win over our spiritual battles-
If you don't use his name you will loose-
I guess its kind of like Star Wars-- USE THE FORCE LUKE

God give you no more then you con handle. You are the one that add the other prombles that you can't handle. In the bible it tell you that you are going to have trouble days. So why would you go and add more trouble on to the ones that you you all ready have. Don't blame God because you can't handle your prombles. If God didn't care about the ones who don't have faith. Why did he send his beloved son. He sure didn't send him here to save the ones that did't need saving.

I am sorry to say that your fundementals need a complete change to understand. If you can get hold of a translated copy of BHAGAWAT GITA with any explanation please go through it. It teaches practical philosophy . It is a book belonging to all religion . You have to read at least four five times and seek help to understand some of the terms.
God has given us all the sources. But he does not come and drop food into anybodys mouth. Even the birds have to go and seek food. The bees have to be the first to get nectar from the flowers. If they are late they wont get nectar.
The world has everything for any bodys need but not for ones greed.
SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST IS THE LAW OF NATURE.

How do you know that the people who commit suicide were people of faith? I don't think you can say that without knowing.

that's because they lack trust with God. they give up thinking that the situation was just too hard to handle for them. i believe that God wont give us problems that we can not solve or find solutions.people tend to commit suicide because they are weak and give up easily.
Put your trust to God and He will do the rest...
