what are people's opinions regarding corporate childcare giants such as ABC developmental Learning Centres and Universal Children among many others? I have my own opinions but would like to know others'. Do you think they treat childcare as a francise just out to make money or have you an entirely different opinion?

this type of child care is exactally what it is....corporate..... and corporate thinks only of the all mighty dollar. I have worked for a "corporate" child care before and was not at all impressed. Then i worked in hometown daycares and they love the children and was in it for the children not the money...........

well i personally think that they do treat childcare as a Francis for money. There are plenty of children in the world that they can make money off of. what better way to make money then threw little kids.

sounds like McDaycare but I am sure there must be good programs out there. I am not familiar with these programs but as with most franchises, I suspect there are good centers with good caregivers and bad ones. It all depends on the individuals and the management at the local level.
