Good question! First of all, one of the primary definitions of sin is the breaking of God's laws. Whether or not you think his laws are fair is besides the point. Just like in the human world, ignorance of the law is no excuse.
Now consider this analogy. Say you are a fine upstanding member of the community who gives to charity and does volunteer work and helps little old ladies cross the street and you always obey the law. But one day you are driving your car and not paying attention and you run a red light.
You come before the judge and tell him all about how good you are and how you just made a mistake. The judge can't declare you "not guilty" because he is sworn to uphold the law. In the same way God cannot declare a person "not guilty" if they break one of his laws because that would make Him a liar when He gave us the laws.
Now, have you ever stolen something even if it was something small like a pen from work?
That would make you guilty of being a theif.
Have you ever told a lie?
That would violate God's law against bearing false witness.
Have you ever used the name of God or Jesus like a curse word?
That would be the sin of blasphemy.
Have you ever looked at a woman with lust in your heart?
Jesus said that anyone who looks at a woman other than their wife with lust has already committed the sin of adultery in their heart.
God says that anyone who breaks even one of his laws has to pay with their life. It may sound harsh, but God doesn't need anyone's money or for them to do anything for Him to make up for their crime. He is in charge and He says that the penalty for sin is death.
So if you were to come before Him and be judged according to his laws what do you think He would be compelled by his perfect nature to give as a verdict in your case?
So now you have to a decision to make. Is it more important for you to spend a comparatively short time here on earth indulging yourself in deceptive pleasures, or is it more important to have the assurance that when you die you won't spend eternity in hopeless damnation?
Sure, sin is fun for a time. But when you come to Jesus and receive God's Holy Spirit you will start to have a changed life over time. You don't have to give up sex, you just find a wife. You can still have a drink, you just can't live your life as a drunkard.
It may sound dead and restricting but over time a person just loses their old desires and they are replaced with new activities that don't lead to hangovers and sexually transmitted diseases and being arrested and stuff like that.
God has already paid your sin debt by sending Jesus to die in your place. All you have to do is accept this gift by faith.
I pray that you will find a good local church, show up and listen to the gospel message, and let the Holy Spirit draw you to new and eternal life in Christ in whose name I pray, Amen!

Let's look at the partying and fun part first. Jesus turned water into wine. Noah was a "drunken sailor" ....God gave us the ability to enjoy sex and also he will provide you with a wife so you may have your desire and concentrate back on HIM.
All sins are covered by the 10 commandments. Don't steel / lie / cheat / adultry / murder / envy. People do these things everyday, whether they want to admit it or not. If you're at work and you take time out to chat on the phone with a friend or to hold a conversation with another employee. You're stelling time and money from your employer.
God wanted sacrifices and Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice. It's the 3 strikes deal. First Eden....forbin fruit...eaten / strike one. Noah / flood....rid the world of evil doers.....strike two.....the biggie...all you have to do is believe in Christ....if you don't, strike three, you're out.
If you feel you have wronged anyone or done anything wrong, chances are you've sinned. It's your God given choice to beilive or not.
To be saved, all you have to do is realize you are a sinner / accept that Jesus died for your sins and ask him into your heart. It's that simple. You're taken as you are and as far as changing the things you think you enjoy now.....you'll be given many more pleasures than you can imagine.
Up to you though to decide. You asked. I figure I'd tell you. Oh, and yes, I believe......and I still have me a drink or two every now and then......but I've gotten tired of the hangovers, age takes care of a lot of things, but so does God.

have you ever lied, cheated, stole, used God's name in vain, hated someone, had sex without being married, thought about having sex with someone thats not your wife? There are many sins that humans naturally do- I am not saying you have done any of these things, but if you have- you have sinned and you need Jesus!
"sexing, drinking, drugging"- obviously if you are worried about messing up that stuff in your life, you already know you are a sinner! But hey, arent we all? You have free will, you dont have to have a savior, but burning in hell dont sound like much fun- and I bet that would put a kink in your partying too!
Living for God only seems lame to people that are too weak to and selfish to try- or are afraid of being told what they do is wrong. Either way, its always up to you- you cant be forced to believe anything. Maybe in some countries you can be forced to practice a religion, but belief can never be forced.
You are right though, you dont need to "get religion" because religion is man-made and it is what divides us all. There is only one God, we might just call Him by a different name in some places- it was man that made us squabble about it all. Men like Muhammed, Constantine, the Popes, Martin Luther, and many many more who decided to make God in their own images.

To be clear - God gave you, and all of us, free will. The opportunity to make our own choices.
It's not my job as a Christian or anyone elses to show you that you're a sinner. Jesus will not "mess up" your obviously fulfilling lifestyle. However, should there ever come a day when you grow weary of your fun life - He promises to be there for you. No strings, no conditions, there by YOUR CHOICE at your invitation. Perhaps you have a lot of other folks in your fun life that you can count on in that way. But should you some day find that they're in short supply, He will be there.
Best wishes - and God Bless!

I think probably the best reason for you to "get religion" (as you put it) is because that you will someday have to stand before an all-powerful and all-knowing God and confess your sins. If your name is not recorded in the book of life you can not enter heaven and will spend an eternity paying for your sins in a place called hell. Life is so short why waste it partying, drugging, sexing, and having fun? Why not do something that actually counts for others and for Christ? Why be selfish?

In reality there is no need for a savior, God still loves you as much as He loves His devotee, it is just a matter of the actions that you take, for instance your drinking, etc is going to lead you somewhere and I think you can sense that that somewhere doesn't look very good, therefore there are some people who can lead you to a better life because their actions have lead them to a different direction, it is just a matter of what direction you want to take. You can try trial and error, but that can be dangerous, it is better to think before you take a certain path, but whatever path you take it is not good to go on and complain, because it was your decision, so if you screw up, don't cry or curse anyone, because it was your choice. If you feel that things can be different then you may look for a guide. Though you got to be careful. a person that says that he is the guide doesn't make him a guide necessarily, he has to prove that he knows a better way. It is just a matter of figuring it out.

If you need a savior, it's a sign of weakness meaning that the terror of facing your fears is overwhelming. You should seek a good therapist and make up your mind to stay away from alcohol or drugs because these things, like religious hallucinations, WILL NOT HELP you.
Good luck in your search, for you are not an evil low life sinner like you imagine. Even though people think you are Gay, that does not make you a sinner.
Don't get religion, get SERIOUS THERAPEUTIC help. We who browse Yahoo Answers are pulling for you.

Why talk of sin . Let us talk of happiness to understand sin.
Much depends on one,s idea of happiness. True happiness is a state of mind in which man finds tranquillity and contentment. The external happiness conferred by material possessions and worldly activities is ephemeral and superficial. In Communist countries people may appear to be satisfied and contented as their material conditions improve, but can they really be said to have achieved true happiness and real peace of mind?
Perhaps one of the reasons for the present day decline in morals is the neglect of religion.Without high ethical standards, which are the foundation of all religions no organised and disciplined life is possible.Promiscuity and sexual aberrations are no doubt are due to ignorance and a neglect of the fundamental principles of ethics. In a secular state, it is the duty of parents and voluntary organisations to impart to children a knowledge of moral and spiritual values and ennoble them.If a man who is under a strong temptation thinks that moral rules are man made, he may easily violate them.He will hesitate more to disobey them, if he believes that they are God made and have been revealed to him through a Divine Teacher or the Guru.
If religion is not sincerely practised, it has little effect on our private lives or that of the community. An interest in religion makes people seek the company of holy men, which can give them the solace and happiness they really need.
Some people think that religion is an irrelevance, a matter of no consequence, and they lose nothing if they exclude religion from their lives. They believe in the motto'Eat,drink, and be marry'.But does this give an edge or meaning to life?Life has a purpose.Religion makes a man conscious of his spiritual heritage and goal.
So you see there is a need for a Saviour.

If you claim that your tank is full, then why do you need to gas up? Like, what's the sense in asking a question here when you actually don't need an answer anyway??
And don't tell me that you have nothing better to do with your "fun life" right about now... I mean, being a Saturday night and all, you should be sexing, drinking, drugging and partying all night long, shouldn't you be??
What's up with that? LOL.

You are a sinner because you born into sin.
Excepting Jesuswon't mess up anything.
Why not give Him a chance? He will give you eternal life in heaven.
You will find happiness that you have never known before.
I know just mere words won't convince you. The only way is to try
in order for you to believe me.
Jesus Loves You!
