I live in Washington state and most people who have been here all their lives call it pop. I think it is totally a regional thing. People down south usually call it Soda. Go figure!

In the north I called it Pop.
When I moved to the south it was called Soda.
I like Pop better but have been in the south longer so I call it soda.

Grew up in the midwest where it was soda. Moved out west to Washington where it's pop. It's all the same to me.
