Christians should do whatever possible to get rid of Santa in their traditions, minds, churches, homes, businesses

He may be cute for kids but its roots are very evil.

To poster (rxqueen♥ †)
If it will honor God I will never look at a Christmas Tre Again or a Yule Log-
We can't mold Jesus into our traditions because we like them. We have to honor God no matter what the cost, no matter what the sacrafice, no matter what we may loose-

Yes, I know this. I hate the concept of Santa Claus.

It doesn't matter what it is rooted to. The fact is that Christmas is a happy and fun year for most if not all the family. Parents and family enjoy sending gifts that people will like. Santa also gives many children a reason to be good in the first place, to get presents. I used that trick on my neice and nephew last christmas, and it worked. They stopped being horrible in school and at home, and continue to do so. I wrote the letter from Santa.

There is nothing wrong with this holiday and I always knew that there was no Santa, I was much smarter than my parents and knew that they wrapped the presents every christmas night, it's not that hard to find out and I was not mad. I still think the holiday is great. Anything of good report should be kept, God would have nothing wrong with this holiday as it does no harm.

It's funny how you can say Santa is a product of evil and Satan or that he doesn't exist... I find it almost ironic that you can believe in god and not Santa Claus. They're both highly fictional tales and both must have some suspension of reality in order to believe in.

Santa Claus, just to let you know, was created from both Pagan and Christian views from what I understand. But, it isn't the first time that xianity and paganism have formed a bond.

Why don't you go shoot the easter bunny as well along with the easter eggs.

And if you're going to get rid of Santa, might as well get rid of Xmas all together cos he wasn't born on Dec 25th, if he even existed at all.

First of all, Satan is a myth created by Christianity. The concept was derived from the Egyptian God Set or Seth. The Santa touted now, including the visage, was created by Coke as a marketing tool. Besides, the myth surrounding Santa is just an allegorical tale about the Christian god. Sorry, there is nothing in it that is Satanic.

Santa is an imposter! No Way! Damn.

who cares? The Easter Bunny probably comes from Satan too but when you have kids, they enjoy it. They aren't taught evil, they are taught that Santa and Christmas are a time of giving and caring. Get off it.

SATAN CLAWSSS!!!!!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAH 666 666 666 666

Ok, that was just to make fun of you a little bit and not be quite as angry in my response, even though I am EXTREMELY offended. Why don't you go pee on a Crucifix with Roger Maplethorpe in some glittery streaming orgy of hell and let me know how it feels, you f-ing blasphemer!

SANTA CLAUS is beautiful and wonderful and perhaps one of the
last pure things children and adults have left to cherish in this world of filth. Santa is NOT derived from satan, you moron. He is derived from ancient Pagan Germanic winter Rituals, when families were starving and often had deaths in the family. Hulda would ride through the forests in her sleight collecting the souls of the deceased to later be baptised and consecrated when spring arrived. The wolves would howl, and children would hide under their beds.

BUT AFTER Hulda had departed, her HUSBAND would come riding through on his sleigh carried not by hungry snarling wolves, but harmless, tender and juicy reindeer. Her husbands was cheerful and happy as it brought among other things fresh reindeer meat, warm clothes and food to last the remaining children and families throughout the winter. So people started celebrating the arrival of Father Winter knowing that the cooling and cold part of the year was half-way over, and they could celebrate a little as the days started to get longer and brighter.

I don't believe he's rooted in Satan at all.

Santa Clause is based on a poem about a man named Nicholas (Or saint Nick if you want) who gave a bunch of gifts to a couple of orphanages to celebrate the ultimate gift of all: Jesus Christ.

He has become somewhat commercialized, though. Why? People no longer find it "convenient" to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. This should be stopped. What's wrong with Christians celebrating Jesus!?

A lot of Christians do not acknowledge or support the notion of lying to our children about Santa Claus.
I am one of them. I teach the true meaning of Christmas. The acknowledgment that Christ was born into the world through a virgin to make final payment to God for the sins of the world.

I read about half of that article, and still can't figure out how the line was drawn from Santa to Satan. Just because a legend is born from someone who may or may not have existed doesn't make it evil. The only thing I can conclude is that because of his name, that's how it's associated with Satan. Get real, chicky.

Umm, Santa isn't real? And Satan? Umm, he isn't real either. He's just a myth, Christian myth. Many cultures have their own mythologies. Like the Greek and Roman myths of many gods and the like. As one example. Or King Arthor.

Then again, I never did belive in demons. It's too fairy tail-ish. I mean if I'm going to believe in Satan I might as well believe in dragons and faries, Magic, and the Easter Bunny. Yeah I'm pretty sure that's all make-believe.

I don't care. I like Santa.
Your giving Satan power by doing this, by labelling him 'Santa'.
I'm not going to waste my time taking Santa out of Christmas, I'm going to focus on Bringing Jesus back in.

The roots of your Christmas tree are very Pagan/Non-Christian too, will you take down your Christmas tree too this year? and your yule log? Mistletoe and Holly also should be taken down. You should also take down your wreaths.
This Easter will you not paint Easter eggs? Because they originated in Non-Christian cultures?

You can go crazy trying to take away your family culture and your commercialized traditions.
