Maybe you wouldn't be falling behind if you weren't on here so much. I think your wife should help you, but maybe she doesn't like whatever type of work you're doing. Good luck.

Congratulations on the shop. The wife is a problem if she does not hold up her end in other areas. You'll have to decide if she is putting in her share in other areas or not. Marriage is a partnership. I personally think my wife does far more than I do...even though I have the business and go to work every day.
Regardless, if she's not keeping the house up...making meals, doing things on her end to help...either change her behavior, live in servitude or leave her.

Have a kind, candid heart to heart with her, explaining what the shop means to you and that you would really love it if she would join you in raising the shop together. Say that you think it would be a fun time to bond with one another and to share a common goal, and that you think it would be a lot of fun to work on raising the shop up together. If she is still opposed or disinterrested, then look into outside help. she might not want to help for a million reasons: she's insecure about her skills in whatever your shop deals with, she doesn't want to step on your toes, she is stressed out about other stuff etc.

This is your gig my friend. If your wife isn't supporting you maybe you should ask her why. Being a business owner is hard work. Most small business owners work 10 to 14 hours a day. If your wife has some concerns, get them worked out. Be prepared to make the choice of her or your business. Good Luck

Talk to your wife and see if she would be willing to help you with the paper work. If she is not currently working outside the home, perhaps she could help you with the paper work. Try explaining to her how much of a burden would be taken off your shoulders if she could help you with the paperwork when she had time. Do not tell her she needs to help you, just present it to her like she could really take a burden off of you and make your life easier, which would make you more relaxed once you are at home. It would be beneficial to both of you.

Was the shop something you started without really talking to her about? You shouldn't expect her to put in 100% if she was never really for this in the first place. If she was for this, then she should probably help. However, to avoid a major crisis I would just hire someone else. It'll save your marriage.

Sounds like your wife isn't as excited about your shop as you are. You're going to have to have a serious heart to heart with her, and make sure she understands what is at stake. If that doesn't work, you'll probably have to hire someone to do some of it for you.

Only open your shop durring the most productive hours. Be open Tues thru Saturday and be with your wife the other days. Make her feel welcome at your shop. Post that you take a 1 hr lunch break everyday and spend it with her. Good luck.

It's sad that you're wife isn't helping you out. That's what marriage is all about. But if you need a solution fast, you could always hire an assisstant if you have the money for it.

You're Goddamn right she should. What kind of business is this? She needs to participate with this or I see bad things in the future. You need to designate some sh!t for her to do. A few tasks at the beginning and move on from there. She needs to know what you are doing and how time consuming it is. She is two bricks shy of a sh!thouse if you ask me. Men need to be supported !!!!!!
