And do you think that puts weight on you. My boyfriend doesn't want me to do that because he says it will make me fat.

It is healthier to eat more times a day but less.

Usually 5 or 6 smaller meals is better. Your metabolism get going as you feed it, then slows down. So if you wait with your dessert a few hours, you can actually get the metabolism going faster again for a while.

Now as for your boyfriend, if you are a healthy weight and he tells you this, he is being a controlling manipulative jerk, get rid of him.

Eating dessert at the same time as dinner won't make you gain weight any faster. It's exactly the same amount of calories as if you were to eat it hours later.

Personally, I always wait awhile before having dessert, but thats just personal preference. I like to let dinner settle first.

I never have dessert after dinner, it's just too much-do you need all those calories and food? If you want a treat -have it early on by itself-not with a meal.

yea, i have dessert ,well it depends on the desert if your having triple sundae then of course over time you'll be 300 and wondering what happened. but if you eat some thing that healthily like a bowl of fruit or peanut butter on an apple that's healthy and you get Ur snack or dessert.

There are healthy desserts out there, not saying that I have dessert myself often. Usually, delicious desserts are fattening but having a balanced diet and a excercise schedule will maintain your weight. =)
