how do i get a girl to go out with me?

I am really close to her and we are as close as a brother and sister but when i asked her out she said she didnt want me and her to end up like the rest of her ex-boyfriends. How can i change that?

the trick is to help her along in that.
she wants the best for you, and that's a good starting place
I understand and sympathize, but all I can say, is keep trying, subtly, and hold her close. (metaphorically, but literally works nicely too :D )

I have personal experience with this as the girl I love and I are very close. my problem is that she's never dated a guy (besides me) before and she thinks that all relationships end up like the ones her best friend has... which are of course, awful for the guy...
and she won't believe that she isn't her best friend...

Uh-oh. It sounds like you are trapped in the "friend zone". You need to avoid her for a little while and change your attitude and situation from being "just friends" to being someone that she can see being her lover.

"Being friends" is safe for women, while they continue looking for a lover, but it just blue balls you.

Once you get the attitude that you are the best thing she will ever get, then you are ready to approach her again. By then you may have found someone better.
