Missing cat?

I recently saw a poster for a missing cat. Then I think I saw it eating from a bowl at a gas station. How do you get a stray cat to come to you if it doesn't know you?

I think you'd be better off contacting the people who lost the cat and telling them where you think you saw it.

It takes a *tremendous* amount of time and patience to get a stray cat to trust you. Food might hurry the process a little, but then if you get close enough to pick the cat up, you're going to be clawed to pieces, unless you have actually taken up enough time to befriend the cat.

I would say call the Humane Society and let them handle it, but as a few of us are poor and can't always afford the recovery fees, ask the gas station people if the cat has been there long, if they're feeding it can they touch it? If they say they can and it hasn't been there long, call the owners on the poster and tell them. Then you did a good deed and hopefully it's their missing cat. Otherwise, it just might be the gas station's wild pet.

I would suggest calling the number on the poster and let the owner go to the gas station and see if it's his or her cat.

You unfortunately cant do anything but tell the owner that you saw the cat there. Trapping the cat is way to difficult especially if they dont know you.

Offer it food . Softly say here kitty kitty. approach it in a non threaten manner. If this cat has been someone pet it will love for some one to give it some attention and be petted.
