The best age to get a baby is when you feel you are ready for it, ready to give it all your attention, care, love. I think young girls don't take the child's needs as seriously as mature women do.
My cousin who had given birth to her child at the age of 21, was depressed and desperately longing for "old times", jealous to hir friends hanging out at night-clubs. she wasn't interested in reading books on how to raise a child, to develop his abilities or whatsoever. She assumed that feeding the child and changing diapers was enough to be a good mother. As a result, the boy has now some difficulties memorising the simpliest rhymes, calculating and other things kids of his age cope easily with.
On the other hand, my friend gave birth to her first child when she was 35. According to posts here, she was too old for it... However, she's got a very smart kid, she used to spend a lot of time playing educational games with him from the very birth. She said she had achieved more than desired in her career and she wanted to make everything to achieve not less as a mother.
Finally, listen to your heart.
Don't rush to get pregnant because your doc, your husband or your age affect you.

Your question is vague in that "medically" is a broad word. By this I mean that if you are in your 30s, you are not as active and energetic as in your late teens or early twenties. This would make it "harder" to keep up with a young energetic toddler - child - teen.
It is generally considered more "dangerous" to become pregnant in your 40s and the pregnancy is generally monitored more closely. I would say that if one wanted to incorporate all "medical" situations that the ideal age would be 22 to 27. Generally these are the ages that men and women are in a position to at their "fittest." Mental anguish can be a cause for stress and poor health for instance so it may NOT be medically amicable to have a child too young if one cannot "afford" a child. At an age where you are "prime" physically and mentally strong, have a good job AND/OR A SPOUSE who has the same "attributes" is truly IDEAL. Don't let this deter you if you are older because it isn't all about money or age, however I think that most people who had children later in their lives LIKELY would consider that the raising of the children would be easier if they were "physically" younger....am I making any sense here?!

Under 25 is what I read today in an article. However, I wonder about this because women generally reach their sexual peak during their late 20's early 30's. Biologically, it seems strange that women are wanting sex more at a time when they are not at the peek time for pregnancy. I really don't think anyone knows this for certain.

In your twenties, or early thirties. After 35 the women's eggs are becoming older, and the chances of Downs syndrome increases. It's important to take a folic acid supplement a few months before getting pregnant to avoid some other complications, such as spina bifida. Hope this helps.

between age 19-25. your body is at it's peak and can handle a pregnancy to full term which is a problem when you are too young and at these ages your bone structure in you pelvic area has a greater chance of going through a natural delivery and avoiding a c section.
