No other place in US can equal the beauty of Sanibel Island, Key West and Lake Ockeechobee. The everglades it teeming with wildlife, nature has never have been more blessed. The hurricane season make living in Florida more exciting and on the edge- people pays so much to get that adrenalin rush. The fury and raw beauty of a hurricane is what makes Florida very special and no other state could match that. The smog of pollution in LA and SF are worst than hurricane because the toxic enviroment causes cancer and kill people everyday. California will soon be hit by series of strong earthquakes and sink under the sea when the Andreas faultline finally caves in. Hollywood has become the symbol of American decadence. Celebrities are the plastic models of the cement jungles of quiet desperation. Californians has become prisoners of their own device and lost its spirit since nineteen sixty nine.

It depends on what you are trying to do. California is the best overall but New york is the best if you need to hustle. There is no way I could stay focused and finish school and work hard in Cali; I was only able to do it in New York because the weather is bad for about half the year whether it's raining or snowing..it's just easier to get things done in New York. When I lived in Cali and Florida I was out goofing around all the time. Never lived in Texas.

From a fellow Californian to another I have to agree, yes, I think our state is great-the best. Come on, we have such diversity, and our state is the third largest, so that means we have more to offer others. We have farm land up north, and all those lovely vineyards; the famed San Fransisco and the beach; desert land, Redwood trees inside such beautiful forests; Monteray Bay, L.A., and the history of the gold rush.
There is no other city like San Fransisco. That is where my heart is, and will always be, no matter where I live.

Sticking to the choices I'd have to say California, but I do make an exception. The Northern Coast, the redwoods and the wine country are the only places in Ca. I would choose. SF isn't bad, but the rest of CA sucks. Oregon is beautiful! Washington State spectacular. I would prefer Washington over all

New York! Only NYC is too expensive, but upstate is absolutely breathtakingly beautiful, - from Niagara Falls to the Adirondack and Catskill Mtns. The Finger Lakes and Lake Champlain. And let us not forget Letchworth State Park - the Grand Canyon of the east.
