To me true happiness came when I stopped drinking and doing drugs and went to therapy to see why I was so depressed with life in general. It took awhile but today I am truly happy. It's a little bit of an effort but I really try to look at the good side of things now. I also try to understand why some people act the way they do and instead of getting upset at nasty people now I just think how kind of sad it is that they have to be that way and how they are only making themselves miserable. Some people go around huffing and complaining about every little thing like having to wait on a line or freaking out every time something breks or doesn't go their way. That's a horrible way to be. Life is not meant to be all good. The only way we learn and grow is through our difficulties. When unpleasant things come up try your best to think of a way to solve it and if you can't accept it and move on, and be thankful you are alive and live in a country where we may have problems (especially now) but how llucky we are to live here then be starving and sick in a third world country. And ABOVE ALL NEVER EVER think drugs or alcohol is a way to escape temporarily because I tried that and it makes things MUCH worse and your problems are always there waiting! Be thankful for the small things and love life. :)

I do believe in "true happiness". Of course, bad things happen in everyone's life. A truly happy person deals with it, and goes on with his life.
I believe the key to happiness is pretty much to make up your mind that you are going to be happy. Some genius once said that most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be. I honestly believe that is true.

There is no such thing as TRUE happiness. Some people are more happy than others. Just do what you enjoy doing, and make sure to have at least a few good friends.

Happiness comes from "within"......You have to WANT to be happy to actually be happy. Life is what you make it and if you choose to be happy then you will be. Making right choices and decisions certainly helps, but not all of those can be right all or the time. What is right to day may not be for tomorrow, but happiness certainly comes from within the individual. If you choose to be unhappy and miserable then you will be. My advice to you is to make the best of the time that you have here on this earth. You may not be here tomorrow, so "BE HAPPY TODAY! .....live each day as if it is your last!

I find my joy in the Lord Jesus Christ.
I will never be fully happy until I am out of my flesh.
When I am dead from this world, I will have true happiness and joy in heaven!
Rev 7:17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
Rev 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

I do believe in true happiness, although I think very few people are able to achieve it. In my opinion, When you are successful in all aspects of life:
-Career
-Relationships
-Self-Respect
-Love
-Hope
-Inspiration
-Finances
You can truly be happy.
