by the way the reason i am "wasting my time on yahoo" is because I saw my OB. She couldn't tell me. She test my pregnancy hormone, but it was too late in the day to get the results. She said if it was a miscarriage, there would be nothing she would be able to do.

Sounds like a miscarriage....I too had a miscarriage and i would bleed then stop then start back. It wasn't heavy bleeding though and the color of it was light red to red to brown.
I hurt in my back and belly and i was so tired.
You could go ahead and take a pregnancy test cause it would most likely show up.
I went to the er when this happened to me and i found out within 30 minutes that i was pregnant and that i was miscarrying.
You should go to the er. I was admitted to the hospital. I was 4-5 weeks along and didn't even know it.
I am sorry if this is happening to you.
Miscarriage Symptoms
A miscarriage is the loss of a pregnancy before 20 weeks and it is nature's way of ending a pregnancy that is not developing normally. The length of the pregnancy will effect the number and severity of miscarriage symptoms.
A miscarriage that takes place shortly after conception can occur as a slightly late, slightly heavy period. Symptoms can vary from person to person, but there are common ones that generally occur:
Bleeding. This can range from brownish spotting to heavy bleeding. It is important to note that many women experience spotting or bleeding during pregnancy and about 50% of the time, the pregnancy progresses normally.
Pain or cramping in the lower abdominal area. The pain could be on just one side, both sides, or in the middle. You may also experience pain in the genitals, lower back, thighs, or buttocks.
You may notice that pregnancy symptoms like nausea and breast tenderness have subsided or lessoned. Be aware that some women do not notice any change in these symptoms, while others do.
Some women say that didn't "feel right" just prior to their symptoms.
If you are pregnant and experiencing symptoms you should contact your health care provider. If any of the following symptoms occur you should go the Emergency Room immediately:
Heavy bleeding
Passing clots or something that looks like tissue (bring the tissue to the hospital in a clean container)
A fever higher than 100.4 degrees F
Dizziness or fainting
A history of tubal (or ectopic) pregnancy
Severe vomiting
Severe pain the abdomen or back
Sever sharp uterine cramps (stronger than menses cramps)
- Heavy Red bleeding along with pink stretchy tissue (NOT cervical mucus)
- Cervix pain (pulsing and aching pain with a few sharp pains)
- Sever headaches (migraine types) *Also due to other issues
- Nausea *Also due to pregnancy or bad food

I have had two miscarriages. One at 14 weeks and one at 7 weeks. I did not bleed alot. With my last pregnancy I woke up at 9 weeks and felt all wet. It was blood, a lot of it. I went to the hospital, the doctor gave me an internal to see whether my uterus was closed or open. If it is closed there is a good chance that the pregnancy can survive. It was the weekend so had to wait till the Monday before I was given an ultrasound that showed the baby was ok but did have bruising underneath the uterus that had caused the bleed. I believe that I it happened because I picked up my four year old to carry him to bed. I bled, not heavy, till about 14 weeks. He was born fine and is now three. If your pregnancy is early I dont think there is much that they can do to help you, but you really need to rest, try and not do too much walking for a few days. It is really important that you rest, until you can have an ultrasound to see if the baby is ok. PLEASE stay off you feet as much as you can. Best wishes.

have you been to the emergency room? Or doctor yesterday since it was Friday? You need to go to the doctor immediately when you experience bleeding during pregnancy. It is NOT normal. Yes some people bleed or spot during pregnancy, but not HEAVY. You could bleed to death, There could be something seriously wrong. I know a girl who had a miscarriage in her 6th month. didn't have any bleeding. Baby just wasn't moving. So if you are bleeding it is a warning sign. Something is wrong unless your doctor says that there isn't.

My wife threatened to miscarry and since we live in a third world country we were able to get medicine cheap and easily. They gave here progesterone shots and she recovered, and I've been reading alot about it and they say that progesterone is a leading cause of miscarriage. But doctors in the U.S. won't even look at your progesterone levels until you've had three miscarriages. I hope it's not too late for you, maybe you can discuss it with your doctor. I sincerely hope it works out for you.

Get to the hospital and they can give you something .
If you start having timed cramps try to save any clots you may pass and take it to the doctor in a bottle ,this will help determin weather you miscarried and passed the after birth or not .
For now prop your feet up higher then your heart .stay off your feet till you can see a doctor .
I had periods for the first three mothes .
you did not say how many monthes you are . God bless you . Stay calm .

Normally w/ a miscarriage the blood is pink at first and then dark (sometimes almost black & clumpy). You normally will have pain too. Your dr is right there's nothing sje could do to save the baby but she can make you comfortable through this experience.

You need to be checked by a doctor. A miscarriage is not something to be treated like it is simply a period or something, infections or complications can occur. Why are you messing around with asking us? You should have been on the phone talking to your doctor yesterday. (Do you not really care if you lose the baby or not?)

Spotting during pregnancy can sometimes be normal.I'm pregnant and i spotted during my first trimester, but then again i had a miscarrige with my first pregnancy. It started out with me spotting for a few days until it gradually turned into bad stomach cramps ,dark blood and what feels like blood clogs coming out of you.The best thing 4 you 2 do is to go get checked out at a docters just to make sure your cervix isn't dialating.

What exactly is heavy? Filling up a pad? I blead a few drops half way through and I called to make sure. I was doing some heavy cleaning that day and that was probably it. Please call your doctor or go to the ER just in case!!
