You may need to have a physical before you fly. That way if it is an underlying issue it can be resolved. It could be anxiety or the pressure, or something else. Make an appointment with your family doctor and discuss it with him or her. Then they can prescribe a sedative or suggest something to help calm you. You could have been having an anxiety attack and hyperventilating yourself with out realizing it. What were you thinking about before you passed out?? Were you in mid-air or still on the ground?? You can also try accupuncture before you leave to help eleviate the anxiety or hypnosis. But above all, see your doctor before you depart. They can't make an emergency landing when they are halfway between the two continents.

Drink 8 ounces of water for every hour you are on board, get up and walk frequently, do not drink alcohol, and snack on high energy items to keep up your blood sugar (obviously, if you are diabetic, you need to watch your snacks). Sleep as much as possible and be well rested before you even get on the plane. Take half of an Ambien if you need some help to sleep.

Could be those but also check to see if you are diabetic. Low blood sugar can be a problem for people with diabetes. If this is the case, make sure you bring healthy snacks along to keep your blood sugar up. Ask your doctor for some Ativan in case it is anxiety.
