Do you mean "of me being famous"? Most people in journalism find the rewards to be in the writing and reporting. Some, I'm sure seek fame. You can actively seek fame by reporting on unusual things or getting on TV, or doing a new style of reporting. (Or plagerizing and writing a book about it.) Do you want to just be famous or do you want to be a famous jounalist? If you are just seeking fame, journalism is a tough way to go about it. You have to have excellent English writing skills, be able to write on a deadline, and put in a lot of hours for not much pay. But it is can be a rewarding profession if you love writing.

It seems there is a lot of room for honest journalists. Unfortunately, once the honest ones step out against the politically correct or the liberal left they quickly become unpopular and disappear. I would say that if you are willing to do, say, and be anything you are asked to be, you have a 20% chance of being famous. If you are going to stand on solid values, ignore the popular stances, and write honest stuff, your chances approach NIL. Good luck though.

You shouldn't become a journalist just because you want to be famous. But in the journalism world, you probably would get kinda famous, depending on how well you write. Do what you love though, don't just become a journalist to become famous; GOOD LUCK!

Very slim. Actually most journalist make little money (compared to other college educated professions) and work hard.
But if it is something you enjoy for reasons other than money or fame, then it can be a rewarding field.
If those are your main reasons for considering journalism, you may want to rethink being a journalist.

There are a jillion journalists and way fewer are famous. Some of them don't want to be, and some of them are not cut out for it. I do notice that the famous ones are kind of cut throat, dog eat dog kind of people. If you have that in you, you may go all the way. Good Luck!!
