The American heritage dictionary defines Arab as follows:
A member of a Semitic people inhabiting Arabia, whose language and Islamic religion spread widely throughout the Middle East and northern Africa from the seventh century.
The American Heritage dictionary defines Semitic
A descriptive term for several peoples of the Middle East and their descendants, including Jews and Arabs (see Arab-Israeli conflict). Today the term is mainly applied to Jews. (See anti-Semitism.)
If Both groups came from Abraham, then they are directly related, and as such, They share not only a very similar DNA, but also common cultural roots.
We should probably speak of Arabs and Israelis rather then Jews, because Arab people are multi-religious (which also includes Christians). In fact, the largest Muslim country is Indonesia and they are not Arab. Also, Iran, Pakistan Afghanistan and the Kurds are often Muslims but not Arab. We tend to speak of Arabs as a political definition and it causes confusion and that seems to always lead to animosities.

The Arabs and Israelis are cousins. When Abraham was waiting for his wife Sarah to conceive, he slept with Hagar, Sarah's maid (and a dethroned Egyptian princess). I guess it was customary to do that in the culture of the day, but it was not what God had wanted to happen.
Anyway, Hagar got pregnant with Ishmael who technically was Abraham's first born son. But then Sarah became pregnant later with Issac, and according to the Jewish faith, he was the child of the covenant with God, therefore, Ishmael didn't count as an heir.
Well, you can imagine how Ishmael's heirs felt about that. Actually, you don't have to imagine. Watch the news and every time you see a bomb or a bullet flying between the Arabs and the Jews you'll know that they are still fighting over that contested birthright from Abraham.
I'm glad Jesus paid for all our sins and mistakes. I wish those people would accept that and lay down their guns.

No they are jews.
Who is an Arab?
Biblical tradition: in the Biblic context someone who is a descendant of Abraham through his son Ishmael, and his sons Medan and Median. The Biblical patriarch Abraham had a son named Ishmael by his Egyptian concubine Hagar. At his Hebrew wife Sarah's request Abraham sent Hagar and Ishmael away to the desert. Genesis 25:18 states that Ishmael "lived in the territory stretching from Havilah-by-Shur just outside Egypt on the way to Assyria, and he held his own against his kinsmen." Havilah-by-Shur may be the area northeast of the Nile River mentioned in Genesis 2:11. Ishmael married an Egyptian woman and fathered twelve sons, who became the heads of the twelve tribes of the Eastern Arabs of the Middle East. Thus, Ishmael was the progenitor of the twelve tribes of "Ishmaelites" or Middle East Arabs, who would have been 3/4 Egyptian.
Abraham also married Keturah, who had two sons, Medan and Midian (from whom the Medianites are descended). They would have been at least 1/2 Egyptian; if Medan and Median married Egyptian women (as Ishmael did) the Medanites and Medianites would have been 3/4 Egyptian. These two tribes may be the African or Desert Bedouins, referred to as Arabs. The Midianites were later referred to in the Bible as "Ishmaelites".
Islamic tradition: According to Islamic tradition an Arab is a person descending Isma'il (Ishmael) son of The Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham).
Ethnic identity: someone who considers him or herself to be an Arab (regardless of racial or ethnic origin) and is recognized as such by others.
Linguistic: someone whose first language is Arabic (including any of its varieties); this definition covers more than 250 million people. Arabic belongs to the Semitic family of languages.
Genealogical: someone who can trace his or her ancestry back to the original inhabitants of the Arabian Peninsula.
Political: someone who is a resident or citizen of a country where Arabic is an official or national language, or is a member of the Arab League or is part of the wider Arab world; this definition would cover more than 300 million people, but it is rather simplistic and rigid in that it excludes the entire Diaspora but includes indigenous or migrant minorities.

The word "ARAB" means in Arabic language = Residents of Dry desert land.
But I know Abraham (Ibrahim) Ismael , Isaac, Yakoub (Jacob) all used to live in Middle East before this area was called Middle east, Moosa (Moses) married a lady from Midian (Saudi Arabia) So who ever boasts of being decendent of Moses should know this fact.

You must go/have gone to a government school. How out of touch can you be????
If you move to Israel, (Egypt, Syria, Jordan etc. for that matter,) would that make you an Arab?
When you go to McDonald's do you become a hamburger?
Israeli's are Jews, Arabs are the people who want to murder them to the last man, woman, and child and take their land. Land which God gave to them 4000+years ago "forever."
Arabs are the people who are reported in the news on a regular basis as suicide bombers (more accurately homicide bombers.) They are so full of hate that they will kill themselves to be able to kill some Jews in the process.

Do you mean to ask if Israelis are Arabs? No, not all. Some are from Arab lineages, other Hebrew, European, Persian, etc. They are Jewish, Christian, Muslim, and Baha'i. Race and religion are independent of each other, you can find a "mix and match" so to speak.
Israelis speak both Hebrew and Arabic, and some speak English.
